But is it really? They are taking time to do it proper and probably to ensure there are no other similar bugs. I rather them take their time and do it all once instead of needing another patch later down the road if a similar thing happens again. This is starting to look embarassing
For 12.1.4? I doubt it.Maybe we’ll see another beta this week and then the release? Is that a possibility?
I think its possible for them to take their time, etc... and still have this as embarrassing. The embarrassment is not for the time its taking to fix. Its that they had such a difficult to fix bug present in the first place. But is it really? They are taking time to do it proper and probably to ensure there are no other similar bugs. But my response was to "this is starting to looking embarrassing." Which heavily implies that the time taking to release 12.1.4 is the cause of the embarrassment.I think its possible for them to take their time, etc... and still have this as embarrassing. To an informed crowd like us who appreciates the intricacies of software development, it’s fine. However, the general public is less knowledgeable and is more prone to throw up its arms. Especially after missed deadlines. But my response was to "this is starting to looking embarrassing." Which heavily implies that the time taking to release 12.1.4 is the cause of the embarrassment.
But it seems like the general public doesn’t even care anymore. I’m usually the go-to person when it comes to technology issues when it comes to friends and family. Not one of them is concerned about this now that it’s disabled. Sure that’s anecdotal. But that fact that news outlets aren’t reporting it anymore just shows that the “outrage” is subsiding. To an informed crowd like us who appreciates the intricacies of software development, it’s fine. Yes wait
I wonder if iOS 12.2 beta 2 has the group FaceTime fix?
Stop spreading false information without proof to back it up. You’ve said this twice now with absolutely zero evidence. It doesn’t
However I do think if the latest beta contain the fix then Apple would of released 12.1.4 by now?
I don't think you understood the point of my post. But oh well. The bug is killed on server side. Let Apple take the time they need to get things going the safe way.
It’s the never ending nagging of how slow Apple is releasing updates that is one of the problems with bugs in the first place.
Stop nagging or accept bugs! I prefer the former—you should as well!
