Wouldn’t it be awesome if they timed 12.1 official with Mojave and they both had the dark mode/theme!!?
Isn't Mojave is already out (with dark mode already from the beginning)?Wouldn’t it be awesome if they timed 12.1 official with Mojave and they both had the dark mode/theme!!?

Not 1pm yet...Monday/Tuesday it is then for iOS 12.0.1
Not 1pm yet...
Rats. Now it’s 1pm. Nothing.Probably not happening. nothing has been posted from 9to5mac who accurately predicted watchOS 5.0.1
Monday/Tuesday it is!
The fact that tvOS and watchOS have gotten their updates proves that iOS is in the works and not ready. I’m willing to bet the connection issue is causing a delay. watchOS and iOS updates always go hand-in-hand. Something is taking longer than normal.Historical patterns "broken" once again.
Well, a bug fix update for a major x.0 update is essentially a given as something that would be in the works even prior to that major update being publicly released. The normal aspect of it, or more like typical based on some past patterns, is just something that is more up in the air in the sense of Apple doing what they feel they should and/or need to do.The fact that tvOS and watchOS have gotten their updates proves that iOS is in the works and not ready. Or they think ios 12 is stable and doesn't need quick fix who knowsThe fact that tvOS and watchOS have gotten their updates proves that iOS is in the works and not ready. Lol man they’re working on a ton of fixes just kick back and relax and know that they’re working on itOr they think ios 12 is stable and doesn't need quick fix who knows
They have publicly stated that the next update will fix activity. 12.1 does not contain that fix thus far, so one would reasonably assume that 12.0.1 will.Or they think ios 12 is stable and doesn't need quick fix who knows
And then beta 2 will include the .0.1 fixesThey have publicly stated that the next update will fix activity. 12.1 does not contain that fix thus far, so one would reasonably assume that 12.0.1 will.
There are certainly fixes that they have worked on and are working on, just not necessarily something that wanted/needed to release just a week later, or they had more to work out before releasing what they had.Or they think ios 12 is stable and doesn't need quick fix who knows
Wouldn’t it be awesome if they timed 12.1 official with Mojave and they both had the dark mode/theme!!?

Really?
Mojave has been out since Monday. Dark mode is the featured addition (the install page for Mojave is all about Dark Mode).
Apple is NEVER going to release a major (and development intensive) feature like this in a x.x release. Never.
If you followed any developers on Twitter or elsewhere this summer, you would see that implementing Dark Mode for Mac apps was not always an easy process. It’s not a matter of simply making pages black or dark grey. There are all sorts of other assets that have to be considered and dealt with, so pages don’t end up looking a mismatch of dark and light elements. Sure, you say, Twitter, Tapatalk and some other apps have implemented it on iOS. But those apps are largely textual and, at least in the case of Twitter and Tapatalk, are generally templated containers. Somewhat easier to implement than a highly illustrated and dynamic page.
iOS 13 is rumored to be a major makeover of the iOS design language. That would be when we can expect a large change like Dark Mode to occur. By that time, a sizable portion of active iPhones will be OLED, allowing Dark Mode to be that much more effective. And developers will have the roughly 90 days between the release of iOS 13 beta 1 and shipment date to get their apps ready for all the changes. They’ll need those days.
So let’s stop asking if Dark Mode is coming anytime during iOS 12.x, ok?
This is a speculation thread, not a fantasy thread.

give it a rest all dark mode is not comeing in any of the IOS 12 try your luck with IOS 13 if dark mode was comeing with IOS 12 they would have put it with IOS 12 beta 1
Yeah true, just would have been cool for Apple to shock everyone and say oh by the way, look what we’ve got for you!
I hear you. But this just has too much for developers to do for Apple to be able to do that.
I think you can count on it for next year, though.
