Beta 2 was working well and this latest B3 broke messages and mail once again. Apple always does this crap with their beta releases by screwing up apps that are working properly in the next release for no reason.

once 13.1 GM releases, I’m done using beta iOS ever again.

If I go to iMessage and open a text, sometimes the back button becomes unresponsive. I have to close down iMessage and reopen it. Anyone else? iPhone X btw..

When I increase volume on my iPad, while playing music on my Bluetooth speakers, I experience some distortion. The music breaks up for a second or two, then all back to normal. It happens randomly. Sometimes it won’t do it. It almost sounds like Bluetooth is experiencing some interference. This only happens when I increase volume and maybe when I decrease volume as well. Can’t remember, but definitely happens when the volume button is being used.

i reported it, but was wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue? Thanks.

B3 is working fine for my POP mail account in the stock mail. I just hate the redesign where all the select all and trash all options are at the top of the screen. It definitely requires two hands to do mass selection and deletion. I realize marking all may be more important to some but at least let us choose options on where on the screen that’s choices are placed. If that is possible.

I want to move over to iOS 13 so bad but the amount of bugs people complain about compared to iOS 12 has held me back

I put iPad OS on my 6th gen and love it so far, love the been photo editor tools as well. But my iPhone is my daily driver and what I use a lot more

After several days of using 13.1 beta 3 on my test phone with Exchange, mail still isn’t right. It’s much better than 13 GM, but not as reliable as 12.4.1. I get the notification of mail, go to the home screen and see that the badge number of unread emails is correct. When I go to the mailbox and tap on an unread email, it doesn’t register as read, although the blue dot in the email itself goes away, marking it as read. I have to go back out to the mailbox screen, then go back into it for it to register as read. When I go back to the main screen, that blue dot that was gone in the email still shows in mailboxes.

Not sure why Apple can’t get this right. It’s been a problem since 13.0 beta 1. It’s terrible in 13.0 GM.

Yeah, notifications and message counts and inbox view are still not synched right.

But at least in 13.1 all my mail arrives, mail I send actually gets sent, etc.

I may have found my phantom notifications. Apple News was set to allow sounds, but not badges or banners. Not sure how that might have happened, but time will tell if turning off sounds for that fixes my issues or not.

As for iMessage, if I hit info for a conversation, I see photos that have been sent, but not links or anything else. I’m not sure if those are supposed to show or not (it was mentioned above).

For me iOS 13.1 beta 3 is rock solid. Wish I could say the same for iOS 13.0 Bx. Hang on until 9/30 for iOS 13.1 GA.

Anyone get over sensitive or phantom screen clicks? This seemed to start on beta 3. Two devices Xs and IPP both have it on beta 3.

People keep blaming this issue on Apple. And it might be an Apple issue. But since this seems to affect primarily Exchange, it just might be an Exchange issue instead. Recall that 13.0/13.1 are still betas and that apps might still not be working properly with them. That would include, presumably, Microsoft’s implementation of Exchange for iOS even though, strictly speaking, that’s not an app.

Precisely which bugs are you referring to? I think the general consensus here is that, with what appear to be some exceptions, none of which are showstoppers, this is ready for release.

I have this happen across several platforms, not just an Exchange account.
Something has changed as I also get this issue with the Gmail app, not just stick mail.

Can't say that at all. At least for some.
I am having Message issues especially with non iOS sms-mms and an apparent issue with WiFi on the phone call side.
Most non-ios messages are not forwarded to my IPP.
Had two calls today where my phone showed the calls but never rang.
Then add mail and the various other issues.
Spell check - that is seriously messed up.
Too many basic functions that I use have issues.
Concerned.

New thing on my iPhone 7, incoming texts and mail don't always sound the set alert tone. Just noticed a couple of days ago. Very inconsistent tho.

Just in general as I scanned through there seemed to be a lot of negative feedback. But I bit the bullet and installed it. So far so good

Of course there is negative feedback here. The 95% of users experiencing few or no issues aren’t coming here to post about it.

I’m not saying that there aren’t issues: of course there are. But my point is that it is unwise to use this forum alone as a barometer of how many are actually experiencing issues. Users here tend to be more particular about things and, as noted above, dissatisfied users are more apt to post about their experiences than people who are very satisfied.

For the record, I am quite satisfied and think this iteration is just fine for your everyday device.

I said “general consensus”. I did not say “everyone”. I have had none of the issues you’ve experienced.

Absolutely and with any software, it’s a YMMV situation.

As soon as someone starts installing Apps on their iDevice and attaching accessories it becomes personal to them.

Until the App Developers issue iOS 13 compatible updates (if required) any one of those Apps or accessories could cause potential issues.

These updates don’t normally appear in volume until after official iOS release.

When I do a search in the stock mail app from the Inbox folder and All Mailboxes, it does not include mail messages in Trash in the search. If I change to the Trash folder and select All Mailboxes, I get the same result, no messages in Trash. If, from Trash I select Current Mailbox, I see just the messages in Trash. I’m using an iPad Pro 2nd generation with gmail. On my iPhone running 12.4.1, search from the Inbox and All Mailboxes does include messages in the Trash folder. Is this a new feature of iPadOS 13 or a bug or, perhaps, unique to my setup?

Yep. Same here. With IMAP

I don't use Exchange, only IMAP, and have the same issue.

I honestly don’t understand how Apple have managed to so royally fook up the mail app as badly as they have. It’s a genuine abortion! To add insult to injury, all the bugs I have reported about it have been met with absolute silence and all denial of others having reported the same issues. WTF!

Anyone seeing the Announce Messages with Siri option?

Not sure if the feature has gone away for now or if I just don’t see it because I only have the 1st gen AirPods or I’m not looking in the right place (settings, notifications).

I feel like the Mail app was re-written and some things weren’t added on accident. There’s areas in an email, like in the bottom left, that are just empty. Nothing there. After all of these betas of 13 & 13.1, there’s still no option for “Move” there? It seems like an oversite to have all that empty space and removing an option. People will update to iOS 13 and will be missing options/features right away. I still don’t understand how little things within core apps can just keep on going by like this..
