The TV app’s Up Next is buggy. I’ve found it won’t refresh when changes are made on other devices until the app is killed and restarted.

Also it won’t show new episodes of TV shows if the app that plays them isn’t installed. That means your Up Next list can be different on different devices depending on what apps are installed. That’s not how it used to work in iOS/tvOS 12. If the app wasn’t installed, the episode would show up and when tapped would prompt to download the app.

I also just had the Up Next completely disappear on my iPhone. The entire list just vanished until I logged out of iTunes and back in. The missing items still aren’t showing up though.

Have you been able to fix it? I had restore the phone, also setup the phone as new, use the recent contact in message all the time.

thank you
I have not been able to fix it, and it sounds like some others are having the same issue with both Messages and HomeKit not having the shortcut menu. Not sure still if this is a glitch or not, but it seems very odd they would remove it intentionally.

From what I can tell neither the Messages or Homekit apps have a widget, like the favorites widget for the phone app. I do see some contacts in the popup menu for Messages and scenes for Home on my iPhone 7 Plus, which I had to set up as new.

I don’t see anything in the popup menu for Messages or Home on my iPad though. In general I don’t see any special pop ups there except for the Files app.

The third party app is the source of the data for the up next info, so if it’s not installed the TV app has no data to use. That’s why the TV app kicks you into the third party app to watch the show.

Yes, but the TV app knows if there are new episodes or not and what app plays them. It won’t play them without the installed app, instead it will ask you to install it.

For example, there was a new episode of SNL which is on Hulu. My iPhone notified me of this today even though I don’t have Hulu installed.

Hello.

In 3 iphones at home (7, 8 plus and X) after the update to ios13 or 13.1, the mail preview in lock screen after push the notification, shows loading.

Any one else with these problem?

Thank you!

Did you ever fix this? I have the same issue on my iPhone 7. But if I unlock the phone with Touch ID while looking at the loading spinner, it loads the preview. I would have expected this not to be an issue on your X since it has Face ID.
