Anybody else see this problem where on the lock screen, unlocking and tapping an messages app notification takes you to the main list of messages instead of the thread containing the message you just tapped? Its been there since iOS 13.0. Infuriating.

I’m still on beta 4 so AirPlay isn’t a problem. I guess I’m not going to update. I haven’t had any issues with beta 4 on my iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Pro 11-inch.

My Mail app gestures are working just fine. Swiping right from the edge takes me to all previous screen while swiping on the email itself gives me the option to Mark Unread.
I’m on iOS 13.3 using 11 Pro

Rebooted and now it’s working fine. Go figure.

Just when I thought they couldn’t F up Mail any worse, they did. Swiping right in an email used to take you to the previous screen with all your emails listed. This worked fine right up to 13.3 beta 4. Not anymore! Swiping right does nothing except display the unread option.

Kind of ironic that I must now rely on a Microsoft app (Outlook) on an Apple device. A 1.2 trillion dollar company can’t fix a few bugs in an email client. Truly sad.

Works fine here. I did have to get to the vary edge of screen to go back; like most of the time. Swipe middle anywhere, yea brought up the unread icon off to the side.

CarPlay missing from settings/general is usually related to one or both of:

1) Settings/Siri and Search...Siri must be turned on.
2) Setting/Screen Time/Content & Privacy/Allowed Apps/CarPlay...turn on carplay. (If off, turn on screen time temporarily to access the necessary CarPlay setting).

Thanks!! I restored back from cero and it is working now!

Wonder when Apple will release the option to turn off location for photos that was recently exposed, they did say they will release the toggle off button in a upcoming update.
Option to turn off location for photos that was recently exposed? What is that in reference to?

Doesn’t matter. The result is the same. Putting my finger at the left edge and swiping right shows the unread/read icon. iOS 13.3 beta 4 and all previous iOS 13 versions took me back to the inbox.

This change is driving me nuts because this gesture has become second nature for me. I’m ready to drop the mic and give up on Mail altogether.

Are you sure your 13.3 devices aren’t still on a beta?

13.3 if I swipe from the edge of the screen, I go back. From the middle, unread. iPhone X.

Are y'all noticing any app lags or delays when opening a new app? I've read a few reports of it, but I wanted to know for certain if it actually was a real issue.

Last dot release of 13.2 seemed to really mess up my standby battery life on 11” iPad Pro, even after a DFU restore. On 13.3, it seems to be back to normal. I’m reserving judgement until I see how much it drains overnight tonight though.

Well, my experience is it’s a bit snappier than 13.2.3. Similar with 13.1.3. But, I couldn’t compare side by side. iPad Air 3.

I just tested this and I’m able to swipe and get back to my inbox from an email and swipe again to see all my emails.

Now if I swipe from the middle of the email I get the read icon and swiping left from the middle of the email gives me the flag other options.

You’re just doing it wrong. It still works for me but you have to swipe from the edge of the screen otherwise it triggers the Mark option

It has been mixed up by @Darkhorse1. I guess it is meant, the planned Onf/Off Toggle Switch to diasablw the U1 Chip which is causing the constand Location Check on iOS 13.1 and upwards. I don't expect it in the upcoming Betas, but this is a topic for the Speculation Thread.

Out of curiosity, is anyone seeing an updated glyph for Macs running Catalina yet? Mine is still showing the old High Sierra glyph under the Apple ID section of Settings:

My settings are Swipe Left: Move, Swipe Right: Archive.

When reading a mail, if I swipe right then I get the Archive option. However, if I swipe right but start from the left edge of the screen, it swipes the mail away and goes back to my inbox. So, working fine for me.

Edit: I should've read the rest of the thread before clicking "reply". Seems it works for everyone :)
