Has anybody else out there experienced issues with audio within Home Videos not playing, happens on both newly built iPad Pro 11 inch and iPhone 11 Pro Max, have tried removing them all and re-syncing still no fix

Have logged it with Apple again but have had to revert to VLC to play content

Other files such as music and Apple TV programs play fine, just happens with Home Videos

I have those same devices and am not having that issue.

Yep, ran into this one with several videos synced from my iMac. Filed a feedback report.

Doesn’t look like they took “6 months” to resolve tho. ;)

I shouldn’t engage, I know but... he literally stated he experienced the bug during the betas. 6 months between beta 1 and 13.3.1...

Doesn’t look like you can read tho. ;)

Haha, Seems perhaps you can’t either. The articles posted (both the ones linked above) regarding this issue were in January. And the initial one stated issue noticed December 16. So theres that.

Is anybody else noticing much better RAM management in this Beta? At first I thought it was placebo effect, but it’s definitely not now. UI elements and moving around the OS is definitely faster on both my iPhone 11 Pro and iPad Air 3. Tabs in Safari and apps staying open way longer, and apps opening much faster on both, just to name a few things I’ve noticed.

I haven’t been concentrating on what’s changed but your observations look very optimistic.

13.4 (17E5241d)

No volume in TV app, neither via headphones (Bluetooth and cabled) or iPad Pro 11-inch speakers.

Volume is fine in all other apps (Safari, Music, YouTube, VLC, etc).

ONLY TV APP PLAYBACK IS SILENT.

Same here. Not only with Home Videos, but all videos in the TV app are silent. Affects both headphones (Bluetooth and cabled) and speakers (iPad Pro 11). VLC works fine. But TV app is useless for the time being, except for watching “A Quiet Place”!

Yes. The TV app is now useless, except for watching “A Quiet Place”. All other apps (Safari, Music, YouTube, VLC, etc) are fine with volume.

No issue with TV app here. Everything plays/sounds fine.

Anybody else see Messages.app keep freezing and crashing when opening it?

Are they ever going to fix the context menu when you long press on a URL? Shouldn’t it say open in new tab instead of open in background? What does open in background even mean?

I'm experiencing nothing of the sorts. At best it's status quo, and I think maybe it actually got a bit worse for me. Latest example: last night, I was reading through a trivia-section on the IMdB-app. Got a mail, checked it and replied, swiped back to IMdB and it reloaded the whole app, back to front page.

The option has been "Open in Background" as far back as I can remember...at least since iOS 10. New tab would mean that the link opens over the current tab and replaces it as active, while background means it opens up under the current tab.

I swear it used to say open in new tab. How would anyone know what open in new background even means?

Anyone have maps putting them somewhere else on the map out of nowhere where you definitely know is wrong? And what is most annoying is it was doing it over the weekend when we actually needed it to work because we were in unfamiliar territory. Fortunately, it finally fixed itself before we had to get off the highway. Never ever does it when we are driving around home and using it as a backup in case of detours or traffic.

I‘m on 13.3.1 and it most definitely is Open in New Tab here.

So you can actually change the behavior in Settings > Safari > Open Links > In New Tab/In Background

I don't think "open in background" is a particularly opaque phrase...it literally opens the link in the background...

Been playing around with it on IPP 12.9 G2
Can't say I am seeing anything decent from an improvement.

In my IPP 11 on 13.3.1 it says "New Tab", not "Background".
Am only seeing this in these last betas ...

For those following along on my CarPlay not ringing bug, On Friday It just started working again. Other than (another) restart, I am not sure why. Today I did an extensive test and I was able to have ringing in the car on a incoming call and found that the ringing volume is set separately from the audio and voice volumes in my car. I was able to turn up the volume to a level that I will not miss any more calls!
