When I want to open a link, I tap it. When I long-press it, I want to open it in background. So, having Open as the first option in 13.4 betas is counter-intuitive (to me). I am hoping it is so for millions more, making Apple revert if this is intentional, which seems to be the case, 5 betas in.

5 betas in, it seems like it is the way they want it to be. I would love to know their reasoning to understand this better.

I now think I will enjoy 13.3.1 until iOS 14 drops.

It matters to me since I use that option a lot, and it is counter-intuitive to have Open as first option when you can simply tap the link to open it. Long-pressing indicates more, so Open in Background should be the first option when long-pressed.

In 13.4, Apple seems to be providing another way of opening a link. As always, you can open a link by tapping it straightaway, but if you are feeling more playful or have more time, you can long-press and then tap the first option which is.. Open.

And if it's going to be the second option in iOS14 as well then you're going to stay on 13.3.1 right?

I assure you I am actually driving on the street. It’ll do this every now and then. Started last week on the previous beta. I was at a red light in line when I took this pic, but that’s not clear from this pic. iPhone X.

Never had it happen in CarPlay but Map shows me and friends off road in “Find My” frequently.

Installed quickly here on iPhone 11 and iPad Mini 5. After the usual post-update restart things appear to be running well.

I just tried downloading onto my iPhone 11 and got the "Unable to check for Update...an error occured with checking for a software update".

Did they pull the update from the servers?

Trying OTA.

I hope this fixes Spotify and YouTube music apps crashing. It’s been happening since 13.4
I use Spotify for 3-4 hours a day and it hasn’t crashed on me. Reset all settings perhaps?

I believe it’s because nothing has changed and there’s nothing exciting enough to discuss.
There were ~115MB of changes for Beta 5 so there’s a decent amount there. Just because it isn’t slapping you in the face doesn’t mean nothing has changed.

all I want is a more android standard type of file system. And better multi tasking at least a real mouse cursor too. I know I know Ipad OS 14 would have these things; but this should have been on OS13 day one to be honest

Just picked up an Apple Watch and went to enable the Batteries widget. Is that no longer a thing?

My ad blocker also appears to have stopped working.

1. No. I never said I’m going to stay with 13.3.1 forever. I have always said I’m staying on 13.3.1 till iOS 14 drops. When 14 drops, I’ll take it, fix or no fix. Till then I’ll enjoy 13.3.1 since it’s working really well at my end plus it doesn’t have the counter-intuitiveness that’s irking me. When 14 drops, and if it has the same issue, l will live with it then.

2. You don’t have to attempt making me feel what you are trying to for wanting to enjoy a good thing for some more time. You can behave better.

Is anyone else here using tweetbot. I can’t get it to open on this beta when I’m on WiFi. Keeps saying network error or twitter might be down. Neither are true. Only opens when I’m on cellular. Is this a problem with the app?

No problem here with Tweetbot. Running on WiFi on my iPad Pro an iPhone 11 Pro.
