The speed boost with Face ID on my X is insane. I agree with that guy. It’s insane.

This specific new Carplay feature is huge. FINALLY!

Independent app views
An app open on iPhone doesn’t affect what is open on the CarPlay screen, so passengers can pick a song on the device while the driver can keep looking at Maps.

Definitely huge. Haven’t tried it yet myself but that was really annoying.

A few small visual problems I've noticed.

Feels like dark mode should have a new "typing" animation to match? Lol. Feels out of place.

When someone in iMessage links you a song, it takes you to Apple Music (as it should) but some of the UI is a bit out of place. I then checked that same album just through search and it was normal/as it should be. So only happens when linking.



After doing a bit of searching in iMessage, this happens. I've tried to recreate it, it's done it again a few times but not every time. Not sure what specific thing triggers it.

They finally fixed the cropping of pictures. I may have been the only one that HATED how iOS 12 handled cropping, but I hated how it kept adjusting when I dragged. Now it just leaves the edge where you left it. Much better.

This beta runs like a charm for me. Been using it since release and I haven’t got any problems at all.

Maybe I’ll take a shot on the iPadOS beta, the only thing that’s keeping me from it is the fact, that I use my iPad Pro as my main device - nearly every day for demonstation purposes with new customers of my services and apps.

You don't need to install Xcode. You just need to run the MobileDevice.pkg from it. There are some links in this thread somewhere I believe.

Weird. As I type I've just finished downloading the iOS update, but I installed the watch profile last night and it let me install WatchOS 6 without any issues. Works fine, and haha it actually does feel snappier!

Be warned everyone - I've just installed the new WatchOS and now it appears to want my iPhone to also be updated to iOS 13. My Watch will now not work until I'm running iOS 13. Seems weird that it let me install WatchOS in the first place without telling me.

A couple of things I'd like to see in the new swipe keyboard feature (as I was using gboard until today):

1. Clicking back/delete should immediately delete the entire word if I press it right after swiping a word, as it means it got the wrong word. Having to delete it letter by letter is irritating.

2. Swiping a text replacement shortcut should give me the option (across the top row selection list) of the actual replacement text, not just alternative "spellings" of my text replacement.

I'm not a registered developer but the feedback app is still there so I've logged the above as requests. I've also requested the MacOS dashboard back so they may just ignore all my requests
