Be warned everyone - I've just installed the new WatchOS and now it appears to want my iPhone to also be updated to iOS 13. My Watch will now not work until I'm running iOS 13. Seems weird that it let me install WatchOS in the first place without telling me.
That has been the case at least since WatchOS 4.

Ive downloaded the file but it keeps telling me I need to download software update, but this does not work.

:-( IPSW only. Could do a clean install.... Think I"ll wait it out until PB or at lease OTA for only device .lol (don't ask me in an hour!)

I did say xCode was required and has been for several years for X.0 releases

It is required for this for some reason. It has NEVER been a requirement in the past. It used to be a UDID registered. Then it required a beta profile. But now they appear to have tightened the installs up with Devs only who have access to the almost 8gb Xcode 11 download.

This is a first.

Xcode has always been required for iTunes installs. Not for profile installs.
