My ipad pro 11 running ipad os public beta is stuck in Safari, and I can‘t open the dock or any app. I can turn the screen off, but not the iPad itself. Any ideas on what to do?

Edit: I did a force shut down by pressing volume up, then volume down and then held the power button until it restarted. Working fine now.

I’m on the PB so not sure about beta 1, but are we seeing thicker/bolder fonts in iOS 13? Not a fan :/

I think it’s a new font. I guess once custom fonts goes live you can change how everything looks (not sure if system wide change or not) by downloading a font from, say, Adobe, but I do like the new style

Just a heads up for those having issues updating apps: I saw a thread on Reddit with someone on iOS 12.3.1 having the same issue so this is a server-side thing. Probably still wouldn't hurt to submit feedback though.

I know mail is having some random issues, but is anyone else notice that your emails will go out of order? I will have prior emails 6 months ago jump to the top. Then when i close the app it will go back inline. This is on the apple mail app.

Apps are bugged iOS is buggy just don’t install the is on your main device period

A blanket statement that overall is not true for iOS.
The majority of beta testers are easily running iOS db2 with few issues.
The purpose of beta software is so testers who actually want to help, will report issues back to Apple so they can improve the final product.
Personally I think it’s fine as a daily driver but others MMV.

Main device here. Once I installed it and then did a nice restore everything has been more or less fine. I can’t get an iCloud backup so I’m living a little dangerously this week but I’m sure it’ll be ironed out by the next beta.

I noticed that I can't get Outlook notifications to work. Anyone else with the same problem, so that I can blame the beta IOS for it, or am I doing something wrong? BTW, I am on X.

I was looking at the extended list of new features iOS 13 is going to have and one said Dolby Atmos playback. it got me wondering...what does that actually mean? An iPhone already plays back Atmos tracks as far as I know, though they are probably just stereo. What is the point/benefit of Atmos playback on an IOS device?

I am unable to do a soft reset from lock screen or home screen.I press volume up, volume down and then press and hold the power button but it only prompts me to turn off the phone. Also, when pressing volume up and down, I do not see the HUD respond.

Another feature that I do not have is Siri announcing messages through AirPods. Not sure if I had it in B1, but I definitely don't have "Announce Messages with Siri" in the Notifications section.

Same issue here. I have no idea how to get that working, it simply does not appear in my settings. iPhone X / AirPods 1 user.

Of note: I misplaced my AirPods a few days ago and they don't seem to show up in the Find My app like they used to in find my iPhone. I tried asking Siri to find my AirPods, and she replied that there were no AirPods signed in to my iCloud account. I checked bluetooth settings, which definitely listed my AirPods there. Maybe these issues are related?

I try to read every post so I’m fully up to speed on bugs previously talked about, but here is a list of bugs I’ve encountered. Just wondering how many others have seen the same ones. I’ve submitted a report for each one. It’s worth mentioning that none of them are show stoppers.

-The number of items displayed under almost all of my folder icons in iCloud Drive count one more item than is actually in them. Opening the folder displays the correct number at the bottom.

-One of my shortcuts in the Shortcuts app won’t stay deleted. It always comes back either after a phone restart or a few days (haven’t confirmed which one brings it back). I had this shortcut in iOS 12 and it’s to go to the weather radar in The Weather Channel app. Previously it was also linked to a separately recorded Siri command (now all shortcuts can be run by Siri with no extra steps).

-Siri voice accents won’t download. They stay at 0%. Despite this, however, after a quick test it does seem that the settings successfully change the accent.

-In some circumstances the really old/original Siri voice is used. It happened once during turn-by-turn and it happens every time I use her to send a text.

-In Messages settings for sharing your name and photo, the name fields don’t show up. If I tap in them the keyboard comes up, but if I type my name nothing shows up. If I save the changes it clears my name from my entry in Contacts and from the Apple ID settings.

-AirPlay destinations continue to show from networks I was on even though I have left that location. It goes without saying that I can’t connect to them.

-In the Home widget in Control Center the favorite devices are wrong. The favorite scenes aren’t affected.

The announce messages feature is working for me: DB 2, Xs, AP 2. The messages come in automatically and are read, but I haven’t figured out how to respond. I think there is supposed to be a sound letting you know when to speak but I am not getting that. Anyone else?

There is a iCloud sync issue with AirPods and Powerbeats. Eventually it will sync. But for now iCloud is a bit broken.

Did you check to see if ’silence unknown callers’ is on? That’s what happened to me. Like you all my calls were going to VM. I thought it was the software.

Was the first thing I checked. It was sending all calls (known no. or not) to VM. Even my wife's calls too and her no. is on Emergency Bypass.

As soon as I switched to 3G I had no issue.

After a few days in terms of bugginess and general operations iOS 13 beta is definitely a beta compared to iOS 12.
Hmm What kind of bugs have you been experiencing I haven't much to deal with so for me iOS 13 is better than iOS 12 Beta

Which browser is the most stable under beta 2? Safari was working fine but after I cleared the data, it behaves unusually.
What do you mean by behave unusually?

System hang, unable to fill in the password box, clicking on some links but no respond.

So.. No way to play a sound to my AirPods then?

Re-pair them. Reboot. I have zero issues with sound on mine.

This is a known issue. After a few days it worked it self out for me. Now all my calls are good again. Both with WiFi calling and without.
