Thanks for your help, but I understand that. That’s how I’ve installed profiles on my iPhone on iOS 12, and on my iPad Pro. But clicking Allow takes me to the second screenshot, where an error occurs which prevents that profile from showing up in settings for me to accept and install it.
You don't still have beta profiles installed for iOS 12, do you?

Nope. It wouldn't let me upgrade to iOS 13 on my iPhone XS Max, so I performed a clean install. However, my iPad Pro was able to upgrade and can install profiles just fine, so maybe clean install wasn't the way to go in this case...

Also this isn't specific to just the iOS Beta configuration profiles. I'm on a few app betas which are done through buddybuild and not TestFlight, and they require profiles specific to the device. I can't install those profiles either from my iPhone but can from my iPad.

No obvious issues. What exactly is yours?

When I am using Siri through the apple watch, Siri doesnt recognize me nor does she reply to my questions. Its like she doesnt hear me. She also doesnt seem to recognize my contacts or me. She says she doesnt know who I am. All this through the watch. If I use iphone's siri everything works fine.

Then there is the airpods things. If I invoke siri through airpods I can barely hear her responses. Volume adjustment doesnt work.

I have restarted everything but nothing changes.

same on iPadOS beta:
when you talk to siri, she just keeps listening;
happening with me, but it takes like 1 minute or so for Siri to respond, but she will.
@ the bottom, where Siri has the little vocal color thingy, it still moves when i am quiet,
so Siri's sensitivity needs adjusting by Apple.

Has anyone found a workaround for apps not updating?

I have about 10 apps that absolutely refuse to update after trying for hours.
i had 1 app update today that updated normally

1 thing I am noticing is battery details is more refined, ie for example now battery reports background usage of vpn apps such as Adguard . VPN connection time is counted as background usage and also for Twitter notifications.
before it will just say app name and usage but now background usage is displayed too. Good to see.

Just to be sure, you face the same issues I described on top of what you said in your quote? Because you say "same on iPad" but then proceed to describe a different issue than the one I mentioned. Thanks.

In what way? Any specific sites or functionality? They both just use the same rendering engine as Safari on iOS.

Issues that I have with Safari do mot show up in those two browsers. Personally, for this beta, I prefer to use Edge on iPad with this beta.

Alright...I’m going to swallow my pride here and ask: where has the Share Shortcuts button gone? It used to live in the “controls” page for a particular shortcut (where you recorded the Siri phrase or set up input questions and the like). Now I don’t have anything on that page to share a Shortcut with others. Am I crazy? (Some of you are NOT allowed to answer that!).

Screenshots of its location would be welcome!

Is this safe to use on a daily driver?

It depends on your personal tolerance towards small bugs/glitches and annoyances and the possibilities of apps that you use in your specific workflows not working the way you'd expect which no one can really answer this for you because everyone's situation is slightly different.

Most of them are inconsistent.
  • Some Apps are initially unresponsive.
  • The next email doesn't load after I delete one all the time.
  • Enabling type to siri disables hey siri
  • message previews show a contacts nick name instead of their actual name. This one is consistent.
  • App updates need to be manually updated and don't always update
  • Some times telling siri to call someone a pop up error appears but the call still goes through.
  • I seem to get more typos on manual typing than swiping but seems like auto correct works better with swiping.
  • Sometimes when tapping on a link in safari nothing happens but a black box appears around whatever frame I'm tapping on
There are others. no absolute deal breakers but for me definitely not as smooth as IOS 12.
Eyeseeyou, I was wondering in addition to the next email not loading can you:
Print emails?
Does the email that is displayed slip down a few or one, of the already read, and display?
Is the email on the iOS 13 device slow in syncing or not syncing at all with you other devices?

Damn. You forget your anniversary or something? You must have done something to upset her. Maybe get her roses?

In all seriousness, there seems to be quite a few Siri bugs right now.

My email is slow to sync. Often I see an error message at the bottom showing one of my accounts can’t connect. It eventually connects in its own.

My email app doesn’t open the email when I clicked from notifications. When I click a notif, it will open the app and land to the email or part Or positioned it was on and not the notification itself

I’m saying this cuz
Of course they’re not like a stable release, that’s why they are betas. How many times does this have to be explained.
Use the beta and report the bugs-easy.
Regardless it’s generally fine as a daily driver.
I see a lot of people saying it’s faster and it’s not

NO. DON’T DO IT or you’ll be very sorry.

While his cautionary statement should be taken into consideration, it is rare for there to be a bug that makes a daily device unusable while running a public beta. There will be bugs and annoyances, but to run it on your everyday device typically only requires a high degree of patience. I for one LOVE testing the latest and greatest and have always put the Public Betas on my “daily driver”.

That said, beta testing isn’t for everyone. If you decide to install just be sure you create an archived backup and remember, you are running a beta. Good luck and have fun with it.

Excellent post, all the way around!

My Bluetooth turns completely off now when going into airplane mode as opposed to before where it was unaffected by airplane mode. Anyone else?

Edit: some people have been wanting it to behave like this, but I actually liked it the other way.
