I think the best way to test this beta is by doing an iCloud Backup, then a clean installation, and if it's not good, restore back to iOS 12.
Would it work the way I described it?

the key is to have archived backup of ios12 before upgrading to ios13 beta..

I have an interesting thing ... looks like it's a Tapapalk issue. At times — only on certain threads — the text gets overlaid (see image 1 below). If I scroll down past the affected message, it corrects itself when I scroll up (image 2). But if I scroll up past the affected message and then scroll back down slowly, like I'm reading the thread, it's overlaid again.

I also noticed something interesting... I was connected to CarPlay when I did the screenshots (text overlay issue, above) ... and in addition to a screenshot of the phone image, it also took a screenshot of the CarPlay screen.

when you expand the share sheet in the phone app (for example, sharing number to verizon call filter app), none of the share sheet options works. you can tap and tap but it does nothing. it does work in the not expanded view.

Sadly it doesn't offer to sort alphabetically.. How hard can it be? I have to always sort each icon manually so it's all sorted alphabetically. Drives me nuts.

Rearrange icons has been a total pain since the beginning. It was the sole reason I used a jailbreak on some earlier versions of iOS (I stopped doing that for various reasons). It's been improved somewhat (folders have definitely improved), but drag to rearrange is still an enormous pain. Try to drag an app into a folder or drag an app onto another app in order to create a folder and they bounce around, making that simple (yet annoying) action even more annoying.

Hi!

I just wanted to say that the Quick Look feature in the iPadOS 13 Beta release is the most powerful video playing software I have encountered for the iPad pro, and I have used VLC, OPlayer HD, etc.

I say this because you can pinch any video to zoom in, using 2 fingers, and then drag the zoomed window to any part of the full video frame. I have not seen that ability in any other player! They only zoom on the exact center of the frame.

I posted this in the iPad forum first, but maybe it is more appropriate here.

regards

IB

This has been the result for many previous versions of iOS.

iOS 13.0 is going to be an awful release. I can already see it.

Given where we are right now, and the general overall quality of Beta 4 (iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS) I don't see the final version 9 weeks from now being as stable as it should be.

Maybe Apple will prove me wrong, and you can all tell me it is too early to tell (it is not). But I know software, and I know Apple, and I know this is not going well.

Seriously?

Anyone with issues and Siri shortcuts on the HomePod.

hive uk have just updated their app to support shortcuts. When saying the phrase, HomePod is telling me either there’s no HomeKit accessories or something’s gone wrong there try again.

hive uk don’t support HomeKit at the moment.

I have done all usual reset phone reset HomePod all that malarkey.

Dev Beta 4 is the first beta of iOS 13 that I haven't flashed OFF my daily driver after 24 hours. It's pretty dang stable on my XR.
