Getting a new one ...
iMessage - the keyboard sporadically fails to appear. If I kill the app and relaunch most times it appears and you can type.

Found this just now when Google Photos let me know I had an update. I guess autoupdate is the apps letting us know they need to be updated on our devices.

Does anyone have this? Many app widgets do this now since beta 4, beta 1 ~ 3 they still used the lighter theme where info is displayed like on the widgets area, but when 3D touching to view the apps' widget its black on nearly black. I dont want my bank app on widgets its just there to illustrate what 3D touching used to be up to beta 3.
No. I tried a couple and force touch app icon does not pop up dark widgets. It goes dark only when dark mode is enabled.
I’d like to add that in the last beta, my phone would get very warm when connected to CarPlay. It was a bit concerning. The new beta seems to have alleviated this a bit.

I think beta 5 has some battery drain as well but could just be my imagination. Seem to be charging more often IPP 11
More info on your battery health would be welcome. The iPhone 7 is nearly a 3 year old model and if the battery isn't very new, that could explain a lot.

Chromecast is not fixed - latest iOS and latest tv is beta.
new feature (maybe not new to beta 5) - in notes, when you mark something as done, it asks if you want to move completed items to the bottom of the list automatically. Really convenient.

Update
I have removed anything that adds keyboard functionality including GBoard - also any chages in Settings. After force rebooting, iMessage appears to be working okay from a keyboard perspective. Apple’s built in swype function is sporadic - will see how things go today.
This beta is definitely a step back from the last one. I am seeing the following issues:
- 3D touching on a messages notification causes the preview to appear wherever the notification happens to be in the list. This can (and usually does) cause it to be obscured by the quick reply keyboard. In previous builds, the preview would reposition itself so it is above the keyboard. Definitely a bug and reported.
- Above average battery drain on iPhone X.
- Crazy battery drain when paired with an Apple Watch running 5.3. My watch hasn’t even been off the charger for 2 hours yet and it’s already at 92% doing pretty much nothing but displaying a few notifications.
Hasn’t it always done this? For example, when playing Beats 1 it won’t let you skip/replay because it would have that “Live” marker.
With this latest beta an update on the stock email app.

Now finding that if I go into the All Inbox / Unread folder and read all emails from that spot the Unread counts update properly for all accounts in the email app. If I go into the accounts individually to read the unread emails, the count problem is as described and incorrect.

The iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 10 had the best battery life ever. 10 hours usage and still 3%. And now with the XS Max? 3 hours usage only 40% left.
Mine no longer shows the weather. It just says Good Morning. I think I know the issue. My privacy location settings no longer show me an option to set Weather location access to "Always Allow" which is what's needed for the good morning weather widget. So, basically I don't have a way of getting that widget back until it's fixed as a bug. Grrr
The "Good Morning" screen is there... but the weather information is missing.
