It has to be the last beta because public beta testers were forced to upgrade to 13.1 beta 1. I don’t see how they could release the GM to beta testers when 13.1 is higher up than 13.0. Unless the public will end up getting 13.0, with all the bugs with the mail app. I’m sure that will go well.

Believe it or not, Apple can still "guide" your device down an upgrade path without a profile. They could release a GM that only devices with a beta iOS 13 build (letter at the end of build) could see (without the beta profile), which could be how they roll out the GM. Or they may force users to install it via IPSW.

Obviously retaining the beta profile means you'll see the latest iOS 13.1 beta.

Anyone else notice safari tabs refreshing more frequently? Lately it seems whenever I switch tabs they refresh. Reminds me of the first iPad Air and it’s paltry 1GB RAM. But this shouldn’t be happening on an iPad Pro with 4GB RAM.

No it shouldn't. But hey, it doesn't on iOS 12.4.1. Betas are horribly optimized and full of nasty and annoying bugs. I kind of regret installing it on my iPad Pro but I couldn't resist desktop Safari on iPad.

Something else weird (at least I hope this isn’t by design)...if you have split view with Safari and you long press on a URL and select open in new window it replaces the other app you had in split view and then you have Safari in split view with Safari. I suppose one maybe wouldn’t select open in new window if you didn’t want instances of Safari side by side but I’ve sometimes selected it by accident when I meant to select open in new tab instead.

I’ve read about people having battery drain issues with iOS 13 and their Apple Watch, personally mine has been behaving normally. 5.1.3 WatchOS (3rd gen non-LTE) and 8+ on 13.1. Maybe it’s an LTE or 4th gen only issue?

I don’t have the 13.1 beta but my feedback about the battery drain was closed before and now it’s opened again. And when I’m reading the posts here it seems like that issue is back. Too bad. iOS 13.0 is a mess. iOS 12.4.1 is buggy too. :/

Just had a weird bug where the homebar disappeared on my Xs. Looked nice but it completely killed the swipe gesture, no way to close an app or unlock the phone (had to tap notifications to get rid of the lock screen).

This happens to me since iOS 12. Reported it to Apple a lot of times but they didn’t fix it.

Good luck with that, LOL. Technical hurdles aside (like “which buttons do I need to press to be able to load an IPSW?”), my MacBook running the latest Mojave cannot even communicate with iOS 13 PB7 devices, it just cannot see them. I know I can install 4 Gigs worth of Xcode to pick them up, but putting general public through this is not a good plan at all. Meantime, Apple are actively pushing 13.1 beta 1 on us. I have the auto-updates disabled in iOS 13, yet 13.1 still downloaded itself on my iPhone and popped a red circle to install. I have refused it and removed the download, but I know that other folks who had installed iOS 13 beta would just go ahead with it, ending up with a rather raw beta 1 after DB8/PB7. Somewhat messy this time round...

I sent a bug report but I have no way to reproduce, it just happened out of nowhere when picking up my phone.
I've found one of the feedbacks. More than 10 reported it. I've also found older reported bugs from 2017 and 2018. Everywhere "reported over 10 times", but none has been fixed. And another issues suddenly come back (Watch battery drain). I don't know if they really care about it. We can only report the bugs, not more. But they don't even fix them. Btw... screw the bugs. Maybe we will get new Memojis in iOS 13.1.1 ?

Sorry, but if you can’t update your device using an IPSW, then you shouldn’t be running dev software.

I can, but there are public betas too. Besides, I do not fancy installing Xcode just to be able to get to that IPSW via iTunes in Mojave.

13.1 being less stable than 13.0b8 (Watch drain in your example) means nothing though. It could be that they have yet to merge the 13.0 progress into the 13.1 branch they're seemingly trying to rush release shortly after the GM launch.

With the long press gesture I keep inadvertently activating hyperlinks and contextual menus when I'm simply scrolling. There doesn't appear to be a way to disable it. Settings in Accessibility > Touch have no effect on it.

I must be "scrolling wrong."
Have you reported this?

Anyone else come across this? Happened to me a couple times. Not sure what I’m doing to cause it. When it happens I can’t do anything else on the device. The only way I can get rid of it is to power off the device and power back on.

After updating to beta 8 from 12.4.1, all my limited edition workout badges disappeared. Anyone had this?

Share sheet is not workin with the correct file associations as it did before iOS 13, ie .gpx files can't be opened in any Navigation app that supports them.

Yep - have the same issue (with the Cyclemeter app). Interestingly, as it used to work and therefore the phone has associated gpx files with that app, using Files (or Dropbox or whatever), the icon for the gpx file is the Cyclemeter app. However, as there's no "open in/with" option, and Cyclemeter doesn't show in the share sheet, it can't open the file.

Also annoying ... the Files app won't show file extensions unless you click on "info" and examine each file manually. I'm sticking with dropbox because of this.
Cyclemeter released a version (via Testflight) for me to test and it now opens gpx (and other) files as before. The first time you click on such a file you open the share menu and select "Open in Cyclemeter". The second and subsequent time you click on a file with the same extension, it immediately launches that app. To change the app (e.g. if you have more than one app that can read a .gpx file or whatever) just long press and go into the share menu again.

This implies that the issue is with the apps and they need to be updated for iOS13.
