Not sure if this is PB7 or what ...
Only on my IPP.

Tablet in Portrait mode.
Tap a field to enter text. The keyboard doesn’t show up. It is intermittent.
The top bar of the keyboard layout is the only thing that comes up.
or the keyboard will over lap the text box..

Seems to affect only those where the text entry field drops to the bottome of the screen.

Seen this in Messages, Heckfire, various forms in Safari ...

That‘s not how it works. The inbox UI is simply broken. Next time you get a mail, directly back out and into the inbox again and the mails should show up.


Also, I posted this in the b7 topic already, can anyone replicate this?

When you edit the app row in a share sheet, the toggle buttons reset their visual state to the initial one they had when starting the edit mode. Their actual on/off state still reflects the stats you set them to though.
You also can‘t remove the books app from the share sheets it shows up in...

Just updated iPhone XS to PB7 (17A5572a) from 12.4. Turned off wifi from control center, and got a popup that cellular data was disabled for app "Springboard" and I could allow it in Settings. Can't find that in the list, it's not really an app, right, it's a system service? But I can't see it in the list of system services either.

Anybody else seen this?
 
I haven’t researched this particular use case on here, but can you use the Apple Magic Mouse on the new beta yet?

The only issue I seem to be running into is that I can't swear with it. I have to remind myself that any time I need to use ducking, I have to type it out rather than swipe.

Yep - have the same issue (with the Cyclemeter app). Interestingly, as it used to work and therefore the phone has associated gpx files with that app, using Files (or Dropbox or whatever), the icon for the gpx file is the Cyclemeter app. However, as there's no "open in/with" option, and Cyclemeter doesn't show in the share sheet, it can't open the file.

Also annoying ... the Files app won't show file extensions unless you click on "info" and examine each file manually. I'm sticking with dropbox because of this.

Argh!! Took phone off charger this morning. Charged to only 56%. Should be 100. Then I checked battery health. Says 95% capacity. Uh, it was still at 100% capacity just 2 days ago!!

Not pleased.

I think we should report it. I had the same problem and has nothing to do with the optimized charging. This stops at 80

Still can’t using camera or flashlight on home screen when phone is locked. Will this ever get fixed aren’t we one update away from the GM

Just a couple of thoughts...

First of all, the betas are a process, and are transitory by definition... so, the goal is to get it fixed prior to release... nothing else matter, really.

Second, we are at least TWO weeks away from a GM in the best case.

Third, both flashlight and camera works for me... so the question would be "what device?". I have a Xs Max, so the FaceID actually unlocks the screen (the padlock at the top of the lock screen changes to an unlocked padlock) as soon as I look at the phone... so I can always get to either the camera or flashlight from the lock screen.

Not sure how this works on an older device with TouchID, as the unlock process is different, internally.

Finally, please document the issue and report it to Apple to make sure it gets addressed.

I have an X and mine does the same thing with face id, only problem which I think most don't realize is after it unlocks instead of swiping up to get to camera and flashlight try to click the icons in the home screen mine don't work and I have reported it,

I have to push on the icons... not just touch/tap them ... like the POP/PEEK push... I get a haptic response and the the app response (camera opens or flashlight turns on/off). Have you done a hard reboot?

This is the first beta I’ve encountered a real problem with on my iPP 10.5, using Safari some webpages with text input (like forums) will sometimes freeze as the page loads, the only way to sort it is to close and swipe Safari away in the task switcher and then reopen, it then reopens to a single blank page with all open tabs gone (usually 5 or 6).

Which iPPs are we comparing? On my iPP 11 with 13 DB8/PB7 I get the same layout has your friend on 12.4.

speaking of not being intuitive. What does the AA symbol have to do with disabling an ad blocker? Took me forever to find it. I assumed this button would just adjust the text size

As far as I know that is all the AA does - Text Size stuff

When I killed the app and relaunched the email was okay ...

I know it does more since I’ve messed with it, but I sent feedback in the early betas lobbying for it to be a settings gear instead. Don’t care for the Aa label.
 
Guys is there any way to disable 3d touch audio "clicks" which are caused by haptic system I think?
