I was on the latest iOS 13.2 beta 4 release and still had the Beta Profile installed. However, the phone offered to install the final release of 13.2 without uninstalling the Beta profile. I think that's the first time this has happened to me.

Our MDM works only with the native Mail app. I've tried... But note that people who can use other mail clients are reporting problems with Exchange mail on those clients, too.
Yeah I saw that in a later post. Crazy that they (your company) would use MS Exchange and wont allow the Microsoft app to work with it. Also that they allowed 13.0 to be applied without proper testing that their email would function correctly. Oh well, at least you got a 12.xx Max for resolution. You should expense it :)

I thought he was wrong but actually he’s right. I’ve just edited my post above to say:

Edit: tosbsas is absolutely right. I am now being offered a full release and my dev profile is still installed. My apologies tosbsas

Hmmm. As long as I had my dev profile installed I kept getting, “Your software is up to date”.

As soon as I deleted the profile I got the full update. Didn’t have to reboot, just deleted the profile. Same on both XR and iPP 11.

Go figure!

In fairness, our IT people sent out an email that strongly advised against updating or buying new phones with 13 installed. I had run 13.0 on my XS Max for about a day and a half and had no problems, so I thought it was a safe bet. I was wrong (and it's interesting that problems with email in 13 seem to be inconsistent, not only from user to user, but also in terms of being inconsistent for individual users).

As far as the XS Max goes, as I said, I paid $640. I can trade it back to Apple when my wife needs a new phone this year for $600. I am looking at $40 as a rental fee. :)

Here’s a good listen on this very topic from Rene Ritchie of iMore from just the other day (13 minutes): Why iOS 13 is buggy — and how to fix it for iOS 14 http://www.imore.com/why-ios-13-buggy-and-how-fix-it-ios-14
I don’t care about why it is buggy. They have to fix these bugs. And not with iOS 14. The only reason why I have Apple devices at home was because they are working well. But they don’t anymore. And I have replaced my Apple TV with the Fire TV Stick. And I’m happy with it.

See, if you listened instead of reacting viscerally, you’d know that an influential Apple blogger is actually advocating for Apple to take a different approach to how it rolls out new OS versions and new features.

You seem to have way more problems than the average user. I have most classes of Apple products and haven’t seen any of the problems you’ve experienced. Not saying you aren’t experiencing them, but perhaps it’s your configuration and/or the way you use the devices that’s causing the issues and not necessarily bugs in the OS?

So it’s my fault that the auto correct, especially the german one, is destroyed? I’m not the only one who says that. And It’s my fault that all apps for many people are keeping reloading all the time? Especially Safari tabs. And what about the broken mail app?

He didn't say it was your fault. What he's saying is that everybody's setup is different and it seems the major bugs present in the current iterations of the OS are present for some but not for everybody.

Nobody is discounting your experiences. What's being said (maybe in a not so sympathetic way in some cases) is that it's possible something in your setup is causing the issues. If you have the time and patience, it may be worth starting from a fresh install and adding your apps back one by one to see if you can nail down what is causing you so much grief.

What kind of setup you mean?

I already did that with iTunes 2 times without backup but nothing works better. So iOS is the main problem. At least I have learned something. Will not install updates so fast anymore. Gonna wait for a few months.

I think we will see a fixed version of iOS 13.2 (or 13.2.1) for HomePod sooner than later as the 13.2 update itself did not brick the HomePods, but resetting them after installing it did. One would assume it's in Apple's best interest to get any HomePods currently on 13.2 onto a version that doesn't brick them when resetting them.

I really hope we see a 13.2.1 to fix the Safari refreshing. It happens with only one tab for me, even if I only switch from Safari to another app and then right back. Only issue I’ve experienced so far during the entire iOS 13 cycle.
