No public beta yet?
Might be for the best. Note that for myself and others, putting calls on speaker causes the other person to hear their voice echoed back to them. Makes video calls very difficult. Apart from that, I didn't find any changes in 13.3.1 so it was no loss for me to "upgrade" via DFU mode back to 13.3. I'll wait for the next beta.

I find it strange that they would release a beta 1 before the holiday season. Why not just let 13.3 ride through the new year and start a new beta when you have people on hand to work on bugs and a huge percentage of your testing base isn't preoccupied with family and travel?

Beta 1 of 13.3.1 isn't terrible but it just seems unnecessary.

Hopefully for anyone that does have 13.3.1 installed and are traveling, any connection issues can be reported with logs added. There's gotta be a reason the Carrier version was rolled back. A bunch of people testing while they're out and about in places they might not normally be at would be a good way to see what isn't working right. As long as those radars are filed..

That's not how Apple does this. They don't sit around and wait for our feedback about the beta that we are testing. These betas are developer betas. They are for developers to test THEIR code, not for Apple to have us test theirs.
Apple iOS developers are several builds ahead of where we are.

But still, they can't take the risk of a bad build while they are all off on holiday, that might take down lots of phones -even though they tell us not to run it in production. They know that we do.

So soon the holidays will be over, and everyone will be back to work. And the betas will begin to flow again. Even though it's already done and sitting waiting.

Interesting. Why would they release a public beta if these builds were specifically for developers?

You don't need to be a paying dev to create your own apps. Xcode is a free app, and you only need to pay the $99 yearly fee if you want to submit your apps to the App Store for distribution.

I see. Whoever snuck in all those options for reporting bugs with stock Apple applications must not have gotten the memo.

Well, sure  I get your point... And it feels like no one's reading all of the memos- er, Feedback Bug Reports I've filed for a few of their Stock Apps (Home, Mail, Music). "Bug Fixes and Improvements" are always welcome...

Agreed. I've seen quite a few people complain that their reports aren't being acknowledged. My setup is pretty basic so I don't report a ton but I can say that I've had more that were ignored than acknowledged. The phone performs great for me 98% of the time and I've never had a good experience with Android outside of the Pixel line so it's really just an "it is what it is" situation for me.

FWIW, an Erase & Restore from a backup fixed a number of bugs I've been having, specifically with the Mail App and notifications lining up with my iPad and MacBook. I've done a restore once since the official iOS13.1 release after getting my iPhone 11 Pro Max, but then jumped on the beta train again.. iOS13.3 has been pretty solid since the restore, just have to deal with some questionable UI Decisions (cough cough Mail & Music).

I put off doing a restore because that meant unpairing my watch and setting that up again, too, which just takes time. I'm still seeing a bug in the Home app that's not letting me save any changes to any created scenes. And I'm seeing some duplicate songs in the Music App, but I'm not blaming that on iOS/iPadOS.

The carrier version was most likely not "rolled back" but rather just not updated in this builds branch as of yet. The carrier updates are not necessarily pushed forward to new beta builds right off the bat. This actually happens a lot with beta 1 builds.
