I know someone last week said that app updates don’t precede beta’s,(and the next day they did) but I check everyday and yesterday afternoon I received over 20 app updates.

we shall see if history repeats itself

The sun also rises each day.

Apps get updated. Many on Monday’s.

Sounds like the planned Apple event for later this month has been cancelled. Although I don’t think that itself will alter any timing on a release, engineers working from home (or not working at all) may have some impact later.

.....but if 13.4 is not needed for an end of month hardware launch then there is more time for additional bug fixes. Remember Apple‘s priorities are revenue earning new hardware first, bug fixes second.

Why not? Coding doesn't need to be done in an office only setting...they can code from home.
There’s an article where quite a few employees complain that it‘s hard for them to work from home due to Apple having most of their systems locked down, hindering home office workers from accessing a lot of things they need to work effectively.

But never say never.

We know that betas are released with weeks delay, so I am sure what is supposed to be released was completed already. I am expecting probably 2 more betas before the public release, especially given the fact how buggy the latest beta od Xcode 11.4 seems to be.

the new hardware is delayed, so Apple has more time to fix bugs. Hence we may see more betas than usual for this cycle. (Providing Apple doesn’t shutdown all together.)

It’s highly likely we’ll see iOS 13.4 drop this week. A Walmart store started selling the PowerBeats 4 early and AppleInsider (which bought a pair) showed that the new headphones will require a new software update

I fully appreciate that. But my comment was really about is if its installation failed and caused 'fatal' issues with the device, requiring it to be swapped out etc.

It was only a thought that shot through my head so thought i would just ask.

People say it still have a lot of bugs in the other thread. How they can release it?

Of course they say that there. That’s what that thread is for, in large part. Don’t take what you see there as representative of the entire universe of users, most of whom are probably having few issues or are not affected in the same way by any issues as power users are.

As eternal hopefuls, we all will wait with baited breaths for a fixed Mail in the next beta of perhaps 13.5.
There’ll only be 13.4.x releases before the iOS 14 beta cycle starts. No point in wasting resources when you’re this close to a major release.
