I hope something, at least b3. But 13.5.2 would be better. I think some of the fixes they apply to 13.6 can still be applied to 13.5.x
It's strange. They've been on a weekly cycle. I assume tomorrow at the latest. Could they release the final version after WWDC?

I would assume they'll continue the beta cycle thru iOS 13 along side iOS 14's release. They're still going to need the beta channel for the odd security bug find or some fix.. Remember, Just because iOS 14 beta comes out next week, iOS 13 will be living on for maybe another 5 months! Or whenever the iPhone 12 is released. Just don't expect any major changes or new features thru the end life of iOS 13.

I would have assumed an iOS 13.5.2 release a week before WWDC2020 so everyone can have the week to enjoy iOS 14.. and then what, push another iOS 13 release to the following week? Or even later next week? That'd seem trivial considering the number of issues that still remain.

I would like the battery life of 13.5, which was perfect for me. 13.5.1 is a mess. Just want that, as for speed it's pretty fluid and speedy.

Yeah! As far as the UI goes, minus some odd glitches or the Safari page reloads, I totally enjoy using my iPhone and iPad a lot now. Thinking about how stable iOS 12 was, but also how boring it was.. It’s never going to be “perfect” because “perfect” means so many different things to so many different people. It definitely feels like what they’re doing now, though, is laying the foundation for something really good.

I’m also hoping the Mail app works. I think I’ve got an email.. there’s a red #1 badge on my Mail app, and has been for about 3 hours now! No new email from what I see, though. Just Updating... next Monday can’t come fast enough for me.

Get Spark. I’ve given up on the stock Mail app...

Every beta, every release has a lot of issues for you. You have issues no one else on the planet does!
I didn’t know I’m the only one with issues with Mail and optimized battery charging. :( At least the betas are working better than the final releases. :p

I’d use Outlook if it wasn’t managed by my work via o365. I’ve had issues mixing my 7 other Email Accounts along with my work account.. And I can ONLY use the Outlook app for work. So that leaves me with Mail or Spark. The problem I have with Spark is that I’m not seeing any notifications come thru with that app. No badge count or sounds/alerts, no notifications on my Lock Screen or in Notification Center, nothing. And it doesn’t actually update until I open the app. So I either use the Stock Mail app that shows me I have an email? Or not? And then open it and maybe it’ll update. Or I use Spark and am forced to open the app to see if there’s any email. At least with the Stock Mail app I get SOME kind of alert.. If that was fixed I’d probably not look back. Otherwise it’s a crap shoot for either app.

I cant get on board with Spark. While it may be the most "sound" 3rd party mail app in terms of features, it requires a sync account with their company. And if Edison proved anything, sync accounts a VERY dangerous when your mail account is synced to someone else.

Opens the door for huge dangerous privacy breaches (steal your accounts including bank since password resets are email)

Beyond the normal at your own risk having your data via some 3rd party indie developer's servers, until the sync account is not required Im not interested no matter how good Spark gets. No amount of inconvenience waiting for a new mail to arrive is worth the potential breaches that can occur that Edison demonstrated could happen. The whole having to back out of the inbox and back in for the new mail to show, or little refresh bugs that take an extra few seconds just aren't worth the alternative IMO.

Outlook is a better alternative security-wise IMO, but there is just SO much missing. The app is nice looking and generally ok. But then you get the usual MS quirks. Like its 2020 and you cant sync your gmail drafts 2 way (from server to phone and vice versa)? That was a feature in like 2010-12 of the Mail app? Thread completion is also very poor. Proper grouping is seen in Mail and Spark but Outlook keeps them separate. No HTML signatures, again this was an early 2010s feature for most mail apps? And they make you use MS services to do some stuff. Like you want to integrate MS To Do (replaced Wunderlist which used to integrate into the calendar tab nicely) to see your 3 recent checkboxes, you have to use a default MS email account account in the app settings- if you use a gmail it disappears. As my Wunderlist imported over was a gmail account. And I dont want to default the outlook app to my outlook address for starting a new email; but if I dont I lose the TO Do app tasks from showing. Those little use our services or lose app features is ANNOYING and stops me from using Outlok as my default client. Too many quirks.

I'm an outlook user as well. I love it. But I have an unusual situation. ALL of my mail is from an exchange server. I have an O365 account with exchange online and 2 "webmail" accounts from Microsoft. One Outlook.com and one Hotmail.com. Most people don't know this but they are hosted on an exchange server as well.
So for me, Outlook is wonderful. It's really the very best client if you use exchange mail.

Remember that in this time there is a reallocation of time and effort, and the number of developers on each project. Less people on 13 and more on 14. 13 continues but gets slower due to less available manpower. The real action is moving to 14.

The Upside Down
If we don't get a beta today I guess we can assume 1) iOS 13.6 will be released next week or 2) Apple introduces new products and/or services that will require iOS 13.6?

Why? They can easily have iOS 14 and some version of iOS 13.xx in beta as there are different profiles for each major version.

Whole lot of non-speculation going on here.

Really, people, there are other threads for posts about email and other stuff. Let's keep it good clean completely speculative speculation in here!
