I mean... it’s certainly possible. Although, highly unlikely.A beta will never brick your device to the point it needs to be replaced. The worst case - a full reinstall (reverting to a previous version with data loss).

Clearly. Betas are released when they get released. Early on in the cycle, they tend to come every two weeks, more or less. Later in the cycle, they are (usually) released more frequently. Or not. Since the thread is entitled "iOS 13 Speculation Thread", one could assume (or deduce or infer) that no one knows. Generally, we base our guesses on past history. However, it's simply a guess and no one knows exactly when the next release is coming. And of course, this information has been stated and re-stated multiple times on the 38 pages that make up this thread (to this point)... and people still come strolling in, tromping on the daisies and ask "when's the next beta coming?" ... sigh.
Yeah, I remember that. But still, installing betas on iOS and Mac computers should be ok.
Well, unfortunately I don't have that much experience with Betas nor the time to read 38 pages, go figure.**sigh**
Well, since you are doubling down, I will wade in here after my initial decision not to.
Perhaps if you don’t have much experience with betas, you’ve answered your own question. Even public betas can present enough issues to require a rollback to the current release version of iOS. If you are inexperienced, it would be wisest not to use the beta on a device you depend upon.
As a second point, why do you think you need to read 38 pages of this thread to know what's going on beta-wise? You would really only need the last 20-30 posts (at most). That would probably take under 90 seconds (since many of those posts [in this thread at least] contain such scintillating one word responses, like “Today?”).
People here are willing to provide assistance, but (some of us, at least) are just requesting the common courtesy that a user asking for help have first made a good faith effort to research the question first, particularly in a thread that exists solely to discuss the question you are asking.

Gotta start somewhere, brother. I'm just learning. All I did was ask what the speculation was for the next release, in a speculation thread. Wasn't aware about the sensitivities. Surely you're aware most people don't read the majority, or even a quarter of threads? not everyone here posting is as experienced as others, nor have the time to troll through 38 pages. Now, I'm going to enjoy a beer ;-)
A beer this time of the morning? Oh wait you’re down under so it’s tomorrow or is it tonight ? Either way you are ahead of us, so by all means enjoy !
There is no schedule. The next beta will be released when they have either fixed enough bugs, or see a fall off in bug reports. Given how stable this release has been, that means it'll be quite a while.
What you are all missing, is that the reason you can't rely on the history of beta releases is because this is the first time when there's been a split between iOS 13 and iPadOS - it's very tricky. Two reasons - one, they are not so separate like, say watchOS, so they have to keep going back instead of just having a team only work on one OS like the watch. Second, they must split the number of engineers between the two and then coordinate for the similarities. It's a new paradigm - past history is no guide here. We're in new and uncharted waters.
I’ve been to Sydney, Cairns, Canberra & Hamilton Islands. Loved every minute of it.
Most likely. They are long overdue.
Will we see new betas for iOS 13 and iPadOS tomorrow?
By overdue you mean on schedule right?
I’m running the public beta and mostly ok, I did encrypt a backup via iTunes but didn’t archive. Does that mean I can’t go back to 12 now if I wanted to? It’s been backed up to iCloud since.

Ok thanksThe iCloud backup can't be used with iOS 12 if you backed up from 13. However, if you still have that iOS 12 backup in iTunes, it should work. Just make sure that your phone doesn't start syncing when you plug it in to your computer and replace your old backup since it isn't archived. Just archive it before plugging in to be sure.
Thanks for the reply.I think that just means you lose your saved health data and other more "personal" stuff...maybe saved passwords?? Your iPhone would still revert back to your last back-up...all of the apps, music, photos, etc.
EDIT: Whoops..reading the response below, I just realized I misread your post. What he said...as long as you don't back up on iTunes while you are on iOS13, your iOS12 encrypted back-up should be the last one on there.
I do that as well...iCloud back-up every night...encrypted back-up on iTunes every once and a while (every month maybe??) or when I'm doing stuff like downloading a new beta or getting a new phone.
