Any one observed super fast charging on iPhone XS Max using MacBook Pro USB-C Adaptor ? I am thinking apple enabled super fast charging with IOS 13. but again I could be wrong as I am trying first time.

Can you guys try and see if it changed? ( I tried with iPhone XS Max and MacBook Pro 15 USB-C Power Brick with Lighting cable)

Haven’t all iPhones since the X had fast charging capabilities? The issue is that they all just still ship with the lower powered charger.

I “built” my own high speed charger at the Apple store with a 30w USB-c plug and cable. The big complaint is that you have to spend $75 to do this through Apple.

iPhone 8 or later, and 2nd generation iPad Pro or later.

This is what I do. I use my MacBook’s 30 Watt charger along with a UGreen MFi USB-C to Lightning cable I got on sale at Amazon.

Fast charges the wife’s XR and my iPad Pro 10.5”. Also, it charges the MacBook significantly faster than an iPad charger does obviously, although in a pinch the iPad charger will still (more slowly) charge the MacBook with a USB-A to USB-C cable.

When I travel with the family with multiple iDevices and the MacBook, I carry the 30 W MacBook charger and a 12 W iPad charger, and multiple cables.

Someday USB -C will simplify that once the IPhone switches over (he said hopefully)

after 18W you’re not really gaining much speed, so you’re better off using the one for the iPad Pro and save a few bucks. Or get an aftermarket one on amazon

I can see it skipping usb-c after the lightning port and go completely wireless for charging / audio next.

Not ready for that. Too many places I can’t use wireless charger, for example charging off a remote battery inflight. I hope they always have a wired charging option

I’m guessing two more betas... one this week and one the last week of August... and then no more until the GM that will be released at the keynote. Followed up by a revised version of iOS 13 on iOS release day...
Followed by a 13.0.1 on the day that the new iPhones are in people’s hands.
So basically 4 more updates between now and September 20th (the rumored launch day of new iPhones)

I'd be happy if they get Catalina off of beta 5 to be honest. Honestly can't believe there hasn't been a single Catalina beta in August so far.

As for iOS after beta 7 they can be anywhere from 2-3 days between releases and a week, much harder to speculate about.

I think Beta 8 will come with Catalina’s next beta to get things roughly synced up again. As you said, there have been only a few days between betas after Beta 7, so it’s anyone’s guess at this point.
