You think your screen is too small ... Safari on my 6S is also defaulting to Desktop Site. However, looking at settings for Safari there's a toggle for "All Websites" under Request Desktop Site, so I can turn it off. You didn't even look there I guess :) I get it though. It's easy to forget that apps have settings that one has to go into Settings for rather than just some cog icon in the app itself.

Wow! At least my XS Max Safari is working as it used too.
My wife thinks I’m crazy but I hate the Facebook app. On the phone I use the mobile website, and on the iPad I use the website. I’m just used to it. I can’t find my way around the app.
Hope you can solve the phone issue. I do have the "All Websites" toggled off on phone and iPad.

This is just with iMessage. I restored back to ios 12m it worked perfectly, as soon as i then updated to the beta my phone number went out of the send and receive for iMessage and Facetime, only my emails remain

Interesting.
Just updated to PB2 and no issue with this or PB1. Wonder what the diff is ... :confused:

Another delightful bug ... Stock iOS Email App.
Tells me I have "X" unread as a badge. So I open the app and proceed to go through the unread emails.
When I finish I find the following:

The app is telling me I have "X" emails unread (see Unread box) however upon opening the Unread box I actually have no unread emails. Refreshing does not change this number.
Notice one of my accounts also shows an Unread single item. That is a bug that has existed since at least iOS 10.

After several minutes this error still persists (see the next screenshot);

If I kill the app in the task manager, this fixes the issue (see the next screenshot);

Just updated to PB2 this morning. Did the reboot after update. Issue still exists exactly as seen under PB1.

This iOS 13 beta definitely amplify this bug, but I would guess Apple Mail just takes forever to fetch/download/update email from any source other than iCloud from iOS 10 era. It is a bug, but I doubt iOS 13 release will improve the situation here.

In Safari (XS Max PB2) in the Actions I am finding that Apple News option is greyed out.
Everything else seems to be okay.

I am finding that even manually refreshing specific accounts, or all accounts does not help. Still do not know how long it takes for the actual count to update. Last night I periodically checked over an hour and it still was incorrect. :(

In the morning it had updated. However after reading my email, it once again was wrong. :rolleyes:

There is definitely something going on with Mail in the beta, i never had any issues before with the Mail app connected to my Gmail account but since going to the public beta i'm seeing the same issue where unread counts etc dont refresh unless you force close the application and then open it back up again.

The phone issue is solved for me - I use Facebook a lot and if it detects it's a mobile device it refuses to load messages as it just says to use the Messenger app. But toggle the Desktop mode on and then it works. It's great.

I had issues until Beta 3, which seemed to fix all that.

Just updated my IPP 12.9 G2 to iPadOS PB2 - it has the same issue with the stock email app. o_O

Works ok on my iPad Pro with iPadOS 13 PB 2 on it. My iPhone is still on 12.3.1

Interesting. I deleted and downloaded again on my iPad and it seems to now work. It just also started working on my iPhone without a need for re-downloading.

Reporting a minor issue with the Abode home security app. Despite having full always on access to location and background refresh on, location based triggers fail to trigger unless app is opened.

Edit: Appears to have been fixed after updating to Public Beta 2

iBooks issue:

"there is not enough space to install this book. You can manage your storage in Settings"

In storage is more then 100GB

I think is time to separate iOS apps from iPadOS apps. I see some iOS apps reported as not working, but under my iPad Pro they are running fine.

Do you also want to do the same with iPhone 7, 8, X, etc? As same can be said with those? When it’s a universal app on all devices, it can be here, but then in the iPad tag when it’s a dedicated iPad app.

iOS 13 and iPadOS are going separate ways, even if right now some apps are universal, in the near future they will become more adapted to the exclusive iPadOS features, so it's about time to start differentiate them. Apple is doing it, so why not us?

As stated in another thread (which your comment should be in, not this one as you’re taking it off topic), for the time being it’s only a handful of different features, so it’s only really about 5% different at best. Maybe in a couple years when there’s more of a separation, you’d have a point. Right now, it would just cause far too much duplication. Especially since majority of apps are universal, meaning most those apps with issues have them on all devices. So as I said, unnecessary duplication.

The forum is currently utilising tags within the iOS 13 forum for iPhone/iPad/all for filtering, so if you want an iPad only one, use that. If you cannot handle that simple thing, well, can’t help you.

If you can't handle that Apple already started to differentiate between iOS and iPadOS, well, I can't help you! ;)

They’ve given it a different name, the code is like 99% identical. It’s basically the same as what this forum did by introducing the tags, so thank you for supporting my point. the mods decided already, so you’ll have to live with it.

As stated, move the debate over to the right thread, as you’re taking this one OT.

I have more important things in my life than wasting time in a forum debating if iPadOS = iOS or whatever. I really don't care... So end of discussion for me, and let the mods decide about if this is off-topic or not.
