YouTube 4K question, are people being able to view YouTube videos in 4K on their devices? I haven't been able to on my Apple TV, iPad or iPhone.

It's not available on TV 4K yet. YouTube seems to be taking some backlash from users whether if they are aware of the 4K support in tvOS 14. During the beta stages, it was only 4K HDR and then all 4K on mobile. It might be a gradual release for users.

I can do it in youtube all day long on iphone XS max and on my Imac 2015 with Big sur beta 7 also ... just watched a new Jada Kiss Rap via in 4k with no issues

Don’t remember seeing “Improve Handwashing” in the iOS 14 betas or GM release.

Assuming about 6 -7 betas, that puts us on a potential schedule of early to mid November for 14.2. So I would assume 14.1 will be for the new phones and we’ll probably see something like 14.0.1 sometime in the next few weeks if not much sooner. But yes, this is all confusing lol.

14.0.1 will be released by Monday.. No later than next Wednesday.. Apple isn't shy about updates over the last year

Are we concerned that the new phone will be release with 14.1 and there might not be support for 14.2 beta right away?
I read a theory on Twitter that 14.1 is being used on the new phone right now as production is already ongoing at least for some of the new models.

I wouldn't be surprised. I assumed 14.1 for Oct release lower tier and 14.2 for Nov release (based on rumors of staggered release) higher tier iPhones

They'll release an updated 14.2 beta for the new phones after they release them if 14.2 isn't ready.
