If your battery started to drain since 14.2/3/4, what phone do you have?

I'm so glad I found this thread! I was afraid I'd have to buy a new phone or get my battery replaced.

My 7 Plus has suddenly started experiencing dramatic battery drains on iOS 14.4. I think it has to be how the phone is reading the battery rather than the actual charge. I had 46% at 20:31, did a hard shutdown and turned it back on and I had 77% at 20:32!

This morning my battery suddenly drained to 1% (for no reason) but had managed to charge to 62% in around 20 minutes. It also drained from 100% to 67% in one hour with only 5 minutes of screen time. My battery health is showing as 93%.

I really hope the next update fixes this as I live in a place prone to earthquakes and prefer to have a full battery as much as possible, just in case...

You have a defective battery, get it replaced. That's the classic behavior of iPhone 7 (Plus) family batteries, they were inherently bad on some units, I had one of those. Just get it replaced.

In your case it does feel like you should try a factory reset and monitor the batter usage. I’m on 14.4 and not seeing any of these symptoms.
Nope looks like something is wrong with the battery. Just dropped from 50% to 17% and is dropping 1% every couple of seconds. Meh

Scheduled an appointment at apple on Friday. Here’s a picture showing that crazy drop.

People who had quite some experience with iOS 14.3 on SE2020, is it a dog with battery life compared to iOS 13?

I'm contemplating an iOS 13.5 -> 14.3 path,

im aware it comes with security updates that are appreciated, but purely interested in performance + battery life

I've heard mostly bad things about iOS 14.x with SE2020

I just got a new iPhone 11 from work and unlike my personal iPhone 12 PM, it does seem to drain on 14.3, even during the day. When I check the phone, it shows "Siri" as using a lot of battery even though I have Siri and Siri suggestions completely deactivated.
Just got the iPhone 11 and found that the battery would be drained in 5-6 hours. I looked at battery consumption by application in the settings tab and found Siri was using 50-60% even when turned off. Did the reset and still no change. Even shut Siri completely off but no real improvement. The next drain was my calendar, then I noticed that the calendar tab has a Siri subset of it's own listed at the very top. I shut those all off and now the battery is back to having a more normal life of 1.5-2 days.
