I’m hoping this fixes the SMS syncing issue from iPhone to iPad. SMS messages that are read on iPhone don’t sync and still show as unread on iPad.

I had this issue on 14.3. I had to DFU restore my iPhone 12 and set up as new. That resolved the issue. Brute force, but it took care of the issue for me.

Initial impressions ...

Slow. My 11 ProMax on 14.3 is faster in swipe and launch than the 12 ProMax on 14.4

Other than speed, at first glance I am not seeing anything different.

and the Stocks widget is all messed up. Red Graphs and Green Numbers

Did u DFU the iPad as well or just the iPhone?
Just the iPhone. I have 2 iPads and an Apple Watch

If I read the sms on one iPad it was marked read on the other iPad as well as my watch, but not on my iPhone.

When I read the sms on the iPhone the iPads both remained unread. Also stayed unread on my Apple Watch. Weird issue.

DFU and setup as new on the iPhone took care of it on all devices

Mine works correctly when checked on the iPad first, they sync to my phone and watch but when I check on the iPhone phone first they sync on the watch but not the iPad. I might try to DFU the iPhone. Not sure if it’s worth losing everything on it and staring over though...

I hear you on that. Took me the better part of yesterday morning re-setting everything up. But, I'm back in synch now:)

Why not just make it 14.3.1? Didn’t Point releases used to indicate nice new features?
Point releases indicate significant changes. Usually these include new features yes but they don't have to.

Most likely we'll see some bigger changes in the next couple of builds, this is only beta 1 after all.

The new features can also be under the hood, like API/SDK additions.

Raised blacks are even worse now... it was only upto about 20% brightness but it happens upto about 50% now

The stutter when closing an app is still happening on the 12 pro Max. However I have yet to see it go to app switcher rather than Home Screen, which may be temporary... will report back if it’s happening again

Release notes on the DEV site for 14.4, 11.2 and 7.3 are all, ummm, a little light! AKA only the one issue noted in iOS 14.4....

Well this sucks. Still getting a weird “delay” when swiping up to go home. How on earth have they not fixed this?
