I am having major difficulty sending MMS to Android users via my eSIM line on this beta. 90% of the time they fail. Physical SIM seems to be working fine.

Def night time like 3 am, wake up for 20 min see what’s up. Just make it fast and reply to what ever . Don’t got time to click and edit and all this lol
Haha gotcha. Didn’t mean to accuse.

Which carrier?
AT&T had a 100% fail rate. T-Mobile on eSIM is about 75% fail rate. Incoming MMS works just fine. I think it’s taking a long time to send and possibly timing out. Perhaps TM has a longer time allowance before it times out? Pure speculation on my part.

Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch when the mask is on is more like unlocking Apple Watch with iPhone while mask is on. Watch can be unlocked by iPhone normally but the other way around never works.

After using beta 2 on my IPP 11 and 12 ProMax for over a week … battery.
Under normal use, battery life for both is not as good as under beta 1. Where the 12PM would last a whole day before I am finding I am having to top up, especially on the 12PM by mid afternoon. Saw the same on my recent weekend trip while listening to YouTube Music via Sync3.

This beta borked Face ID completely for me. After two hard restarts and resetting Face ID three times from scratch, it’s working again. I have never had a problem like this since they introduced it!

On the flip side of that coin, masked unlock with watch is working really well.

🤷‍♂️

Is anyone experiencing on iPad after 14.5 beta 2 update when trying to search on the iPad by swiping down on Home Screen the iPad resets itself and brings you to “update complete” screen, forces you to type your password every time to log back in?

My iPad 11 reboots every time I swipe down to access the search bar. iPhone ok just 11 inch. Hopefully tomorrow’s beta will solve this
This is happening to my daughters iPad Air 4th generation. Every time she swipes down, it reboots (a quick respiring)

Is it just me or do AirPods "connect to iPhone" any time you basically wake it? It's really annoying when you're watching a video on your Mac and you want to use your phone at the same time.
I feel like I noticed this behavior well before I loaded any beta, but my memory isn’t always the best 😆

Funny: I was just thinking of posting that I wish they'd never launched the auto-switching iPods thing but figured I'd be dragged here. I find it more annoying than convenient. On a call earlier today, I tried to switch audio from my AirPod Pros to the actual iPhone, and it switched back by itself.

I can see why they took so long to add it, the issues must’ve been much worse in testing and there’s still issues. Oddly enough I only have issues between my MacBook and iPhone, not between my iPad and iPhone.

I have to say I like the concept however these last few betas have moved the needle more towards the disfunctional end.
Between my MB, 12PM, 11PM and IPP11, I never know where they are going to connect moment to moment. One aspect, when I am on a call on my 12PM, thankfully they seem to stay there until the call ends.
I do like the banner type notice and switch, sadly it seldom works.

I wish it could be turned off.
From Cnet - I have not tried this.
Turn auto-switching off on iPhone, iPad
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your AirPods.
  4. Scroll down through the options until you find the option labeled Connect to this iPhone/iPad; tap it.
  5. Select When Last Connected to This iPhone/iPad then back out of the Settings app.

I will try that. Thanks!

update: I am much happier with these toggled off. Thank you. Choosing the output destination is no big deal.

AirPods Pro auto-switching used to work very well and predictably under 14.4. Sure there would be times when playing a short video from Twitter on my iPad would interrupt the podcast I was listening on my iPhone, but it was working "as intended" and it was predictable. Aside from those moments I found it very useful and reliable.

It's now completely buggy for me under 14.5 beta 2. My 2nd gen iPad Pro and my iPhone X randomly steal audio "focus" from each other at random times for no apparent reason, sometimes repeatedly. It even happens while the other device is locked at the other side of the house!

I just turned off the feature until the next beta as it was driving me crazy! 😀 I really hope this get fixed soon as I do like the auto-switching feature when it works well!
