iOS 14.5 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Gave some more thought to low light camera shots and did some experimenting.
Came out better than I thought … the experiment.

I have a few camera apps on my 12PM. I suspect the watercolor in low light is software as I did not see this in prior betas.
So I set up a shot in low light and took the same shot at 2.5x with three apps: Camera, ProCam, Halide. I did a zoom in via Photos for all three to give a better contrast into the difference.

here so I got two photos, first with stock Camera and second with Halide,
Both taken same exact conditions, with 2,5x lens and then zoom in with Photos app to see better the differences. You can clearly see the differences..

my 14.5 b3 is really nice on my iPhone 10xsmax I hate Number 13 and I think I’ll wait till 2022 till 5G is mature and apple has its own modem build into its own chip for wifi 6E and all that

On this beta, every time I reboot my iPhone 12 Pro I get asked to enter my Apple ID password in Settings. I have reported via Feedback. Its slightly annoying as I have a complex password which is not easily remembered.

It didn't go back a build, it went up by 10. Beta 2 was 18E5154f and beta 3 is 18E5164h. But yeah apparently still more work to do before release.

Me too, wired charging was my issue via USB-C high wattage charging. Woke up to between 50-70% charge despite it being on charger 8 hours. Plug and unplug and it would start again, then stop at some odd value. Turning off optimized charging didn't help. Wireless charging via MagSafe seems to get me to 100% now, but it was super odd and started EXACTLY when I updated to the new beta.

I logged this as soon as I booted after installing the beta. Feedback says "More than 10" and "fix identified".

Also, you can simply ignore the Settings badge. You don't need to keep logging in. iCloud and Apple ID all work fine.
 
Anyone else having issues with Tmobile delivering voicemails? Ill miss a call, and it will be well over an hour, or more, until I receive the voicemail notification. Sometimes, it give the notification, but wont play the audio or transcript of the voice mail.

Yes mine is even worse, I have to manually dial into my VM. Had 12 VM since last week and had no idea

You might very well be right, but in my case I doubt anybody would guess a 13 place password.

Not that I’m paranoid or anything. :)

Anyone else seeing issues with Mail? The longer I am on beta 3, the worse these are becoming.
This is on my 12PM
iCloud x1
Exchange x1
Gmail x3

When I go into the actual accounts, this is what I see:
iCloud - 2
Exchange - 42
Gmail1 - 9
Gmail2 - 14
Gmail3 - 4

Not sure what is going on but I hope we see a new beta soon

Yeah I’m seeing pretty inconsistent syncing of folders across multiple accounts for both 14.4.1 and 14.5b3

why do you expect a new beta to fix those issues.
Going by the track record of apple recently, nothing useful will come out of the betas.
 
I haven’t had many issues. But this morning Apple news kept crashing. Safari and Chrome have also crashed a few times over the past week. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had such serious problems on an OS since the iPhone 6 release.

Yes. The longer I stay on this beta the more I feel Mail has reverted to the level of iOS 13

Yeah I do. It’s just not recognizing it at all. Not even showing that anything is plugged in. All it will do is charge the iPhone.
