iOS 14.5 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Is anyone else getting static on VoLTE calls? Some are hardly audible.

Never had this issue until upgrading to 14.5B5, and now it’s almost every other call.
 
Anyone having issues with messages? I can’t txt android phone ? I signed out I cloud on all my devices and back in? Trying to txt android device makes it blue and says I message needs to be enabled. Checked all settings and all messages enable and selected to txt from my phone number?

Asking before I reset my device you know

Well, I’m going to eat my own words, potentially.

I texted someone that I was boarding a train in 10 minutes and this popped up at the top of the Messages app:

So I signed out like 2 more times with I cloud and got off wifi and went LTE and no I’m able to message android phone.

I cloud message are funny again in this beta for me

I don’t think that’s necessarily new - every once in a while I’ll text something and it generates a Siri reminder suggestion.

Doesn’t happen often, but I’ve seen it before.
 
Also I backup to iCloud daily manually and after this beta the back says 18 minutes ? Usually it’s like 30-60 seconds on my fast wifi. But after this beta idk phone was acting strange, had to sign out of iCloud twice before I can send txt messages. Now the backup is going very slow? I never had such slow iCloud backup.

im on iPhone 10 Xsmax ???

I know your carrier :) Nothing agains Att 5Ge, going to switch there next month.

I want to say that it seems that T-mo USA fixed the problem with network. 4 hours and it is much more stable.

My keyboard is lagging like crazy. I give up on this beta for today! All other iOS 14 were nice on my phone and now it’s laggy? Maybe cause it’s updating from iCloud some things? But my internet is stupid fast and it never made this bad before
 
Same old problems remain…I’m sure they’ll release the final version to the public with the blank message bar bug, color/tint issue, and the Music queue bug:

Don’t you see a purple glow inside the “automatic update box”?

This glow is a glitch caused to the screen itself, you cannot reproduce it on photo or video. Just like the green tint in low brightness.
If you want to show it, you must film your device...
