Can you list the external sources that work or don't? Then I can try. I've sent articles with complete success, and a couple of Twitter links in the past few days that did work.
So far I’m experiencing it with links from Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, Safari…pretty much everything.

The problem is that it’s very random - sometimes previews look correct and sometimes they don’t.

They almost always look correct when I first send them. The proper way to test this is to send *yourself* a bunch of links. Then, once they’ve all been sent, force quit the Messages app and re-open it. Then you’ll most likely find that at least some of those links now appear incorrectly.

This same link is working fine for me (looking how it should look) on iPhone 8. Have you been able to narrow it down to devices or maybe this is happening randomly?
Haven’t been able to narrow down the device. I’m working with an iPhone 12 mini, which is the only device I have that’s running iOS 14.6

Links that I receive from people who are NOT on 14.6 also appear incorrectly.

Ok not sure if this has been posted but anyone having issues with icloud email? when trying to read emails on my iPhone 12 pro max I get a spinning wheel that takes forever to open any email sent to my icloud account.

Really?

I restored the phone to factory settings and re-downloaded everything and set it all up from scratch and my previews still aren’t working correctly.

Checking and found an interesting issue….
If I send an iMessage via my phone id I see the link.
If I send the iMessage via my iCloud id I only see the link

I am seeing the same issue on IPP 11 2020 and 12 ProMax.
I am only seeing this at the moment if I iMessage via my iCloud ID instead of my phone number.

When I copy a YouTube link and paste in iMessages, it only shows the link and not the preview.
If that's the same as you are referring to, count me in the list of those troubled.
All fine here. Even I copy macrumors link and paste it, it will show a preview.

Did you try force quitting and re-opening the Messages app after the test to see if the previews changed at all?
Yup, and they were still intact.

Tried from both my Mac and my iPhone. Interestingly (or not), on the iPhone, they're just links on the "sent"/left side, but the "received"/right side has the previews. In the Messages app on my MacBook, both sides show the previews.

Yeah I noticed that last night, too. Kinda weird.

Still not sure why I'm having these issues. Especially after wiping the phone and *not* restoring from a backup.

Are YouTube link previews working correctly? Seems like a lot of people are having trouble specifically with YouTube previews...

Are you using a VPN? I've seen some strangeness like this when using one.

Anyone notice that Stand Alone 5G is missing on T-Mobile US in this beta and the last beta? I saw T-Mobile mention it on Twitter but it’s gone now.

I believe I read somewhere on Reddit a couple of weeks back that 5G SA for T- Mobile is still included, just the switch is gone. Don’t know for certain though.

I am using a very old version of iOS, but I am wondering if Apple has implemented a feature that will disable filming in vertical orientation yet? The new camera sensor should be high resultion enough, that even if you hold the iPhone in the vertical position, it could still record in the proper HDTV resolution... Or at least make it an option that has to be turned off.

Not completely sure if this is related to this beta or not, but I restored my iPhone to factory settings last night and when I got to the Apple Pay section of the setup process, the name and image of my credit card isn’t quite right.

Prior to my restore, my Wells Fargo Visa Signature card was named properly in Apple Pay and the image in the Apple Wallet matched the physical card.

However, since restoring, the card image in the Apple Wallet has changed and the card is now named “Wells Fargo Platinum Credit” instead.

Everything works fine, so it’s not a big deal…but it’s weird that the name and image of the card in the wallet no longer matches.

EDIT: I noticed that the same thing is happening on my MacBook Air that’s running macOS 11.3 - it prompts me to add my “Wells Fargo Visa Signature card” but once it’s added, it changes the name to “Wells Fargo Platinum Credit” and uses the incorrect image. This leads me to believe that maybe it’s a Wells Fargo issue with the way the card appears in Apple Pay.

Just an additional data point, here's what it looks like for me if I send a youtube link to myself.

If you post your name, credit card number and CVC code, we can check it for you.

I’ll have to ask there. Even Neville Ray said on Twitter yesterday you can choose it. 🤔
