Where? I have no blank bar. Are you pinning contacts? If not, maybe it’s space for the pins. I am using them and there is a bar and it is filled with images
id agree. I’m flying in and out of apps, scrolling, general stuff, and it feels different to the RC.
Sometimes when you open a conversation thread in the Messages app, the bottom of the screen appears like this for half a second:
As opposed to:
They should make the blank bar Message app it's own sticky so you don't have to keep posting the same thing over and over again, lol.
@Banglazed I am not on a beta and my apple store app updated today and it looks like this. Sorry… not a beta feature. IOS 14.5.1

I had this exact same issue. I submitted feedback and then after that, I tried totally disconnecting in Bluetooth settings and that fixed it. (At least for now) I’m glad I went ahead and submitted feedback now that I know it wasn’t just me having the issue.

I can occasionally reproduce this when I have Hiya enabled there for iMessage. I however cannot reproduce it when I have no SMS/Call reporting extensions enabled.

Can definitely say there is a very noticeable speed improvement compared to 14.6 RC.
Geekbench: Single 1596, Multi 4040
Surprising as the scores are lower than 14.6RC
IPP 11 2020
Faster and smoother than 14.6 RC.
Geekbench: Single 1124, Multi 4685
Interestingly, unlike the 12PM, it is a better score than RC and about the same as beta 3.
More to comment and report about later I am sure.

I just updated to 14.6 and now there’s another? Lol.
never had the green tint issue on my day 1 12 pro max but i’m getting performance issues. Since public 14.5 animations felt slower and sometimes they keyboard lags a lot when typing.
will wait for 14.7 beta 2 or 3 before jumping in.

Nah, nothing like that.
It’s just a bug - tons of people have it, but most people don’t even notice it.
Your comment made me try this out on my 8. Nothing fancy speed-wise, but modem firmware took a hit for me as well.
