I installed Public Beta 5 the day it was released on my XS Max running on T-Mobile. I've previously installed PB3 and PB4 and had to go back to 13.6.1 because of consistent heating and respring issues.

PB5 has been rock solid since day 1 and I have seen no bugs or issues. It was about the same time last year iOS 13 Beta was usable on my daily driver and I see the same with iOS 14 PB5.

Beta 5 has been nothing but unstable on my 11 Pro Max, which is a shame as Beta 4 was rock stable with no issues.
Pretty much guaranteed to restart any time I lock the screen, has restarted 2 or 3 times when first opening an app after unlocking, and apps occasionally crash to home screen.
Have reported it via feedback app.

Hopefully Beta 6 comes out this week and fixes these things.

My 11 Pro Max and SE 2020 are having no issues at all. Both on Beta 5

11 Pro Max and iPad Mini 5 running DB 5 and no real problems. Only occasional issue is a song in a playlist will cut off and then move on to the beginning of the next song.

That's great and all, but obviously something has changed which is impacting my phone for some reason.
It's all good. I know it's beta and these sorts of things are to be expected.

I had a horrible experience on b4 and now everything’s great again on b5, same phone.

Same phone! 0 issues! 0! So we see again, it’s not for all buggy.

I gave in and was impatient and downloaded ios14 beta 5 on my 11 pro max. everything seems stable except odd crash on iMessage when trying to search for emojis and Siri sometimes doesn't respond....anyone else having similar experiences

Has anyone had an issue with brightness going down by itself when you leave the phone for a bit?
I.e. I set it to max brightness. Then put the phone down. Go back to it and it’s at about 60%.

Another one here with no issues but hope yours is sorted out soon. Looking forward to weekly releases to fix some of these (hoepfully)

Is Siri basically useless for anyone else? 7/10 times it just fails out with “Siri unavailable” or “there was a problem”. It’s been like this since the first public beta. I submitted feedback about it but I haven’t seen anyone else complaining about it.

I am seeing an issue with pinned conversations disappearing in Messages. This morning all three pinned conversations were no longer pinned. I re-pinned them, and an hour later, one of the three was missing.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Yes it happens to me rarely. I also do still have the bug where messaging has a badge, but I can't see the message inside until I kill the app and reopen. Need to remember to report them both.

Anyone else having issues with AirDrop? I’ll try to send a pic 4-5x and nothing shows up on the other phone; then I give up and the request pops up on their phone like 5 minutes later.

I have seen a massive improvement with Siri on iOS 14.

Am I correct in thinking that processing is now done on the phone rather than via the servers?

Pretty sure I read that somewhere.

It seems much faster and a lot more accurate for me.
