I haven’t seen this mentioned before, and I tried searching the forums, but I’m pretty sure the caret symbol changed this beta. When I’m in messages and some other apps it looks different than what shows on the keyboard. I like it.

When using Gmail and Gmail only, I have an issue with the smart folio keyboard. When I type, the cursor randomly goes back on, messing up my words. It happens every few words and is so annoying that I have to use split screen and type in notes and copy/paste it into Gmail!

For the new beta released today, it is still not fixed. There was even an update for Gmail that did nothing.

The new caret symbol is on the keyboard too now with beta 6. How I noticed such a tiny thing I’ll never know. Lol

Yep it's a beta. Thanks for the reminder and the condescension. You do know that this whole thread is pretty much discussing what bugs exist in the beta, right? I expect beta bugs. However someone asked about a certain functionality and I replied -- this behavior actually is pretty dumb. It would be expected, even in a beta, for the weather widget to match something since it's pulling its data from somewhere. It was unexpected and weird that it didn't match either of the weather apps that it owns and maintains.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I like what I'm seeing on the state of this beta. Very stable for me -- just a couple bugs that I'll probably report this week.

Still seeing a mismatch between the Weather widget and the Weather app. Not just temp, but also forcasted high/low.
Does anyone know if they pull from different sources?

Not seeing that specific issue but have been having calendar issues between my IPP11 and 11PM and MB.

Yes I saw the same thing. Kinda funny that the widget didn't match either app.

You were fine until you added the word "dumb". Applying that term to what is quite obviously not the intended behavior was your error. Do you think Apple wants it to work that way? No. So it was not "dumb". It is a "work in process". In a BETA.

Anyone else seeing the problem in Calendar where you can't use 24 hour time when creating an appointment even though everything on system is set to 24 hour time. Once it is created it shows as 24 hour time but only has am/pm option for creation editing. This is specific to iOS, not a problem with iPadOS, or with Big Sur. Still there in Beta 5.
See screenshot - note it shows start time in 24 hour format but editing is only using am/pm.

This is fixed in latest beta 6 released today.

Since yesterday, it’s asking me to enter my passcode instead of Face ID constantly despite using it in normal conditions at home.

I’m late to this discussion. Have you seen any improvement with this? All of a sudden today (PB6) my phone is asking for my passcode a lot.

Interesting, I always thought force/hard cleared out more things than normal. So it is just like a hardware restart that can't be frozen by faulty software?

Yes basically that' it. It is a lower level for times when software is hung up and you have no other choice.

On my iPhone, I still don't have the old sharing suggestions of people I frequently message even though "Sharing sheet suggestions" is turned on in settings.

I still have it working on my iPad though. Phone is on B5, iPad is on 4 as I just haven't updated it yet.

Anyone know how I can get them back on my phone? I have tried rebooting and toggling “siri sharing sheet” suggestions on and off but they still wont come back.

Any luck with this issue? It’s still on the GM build.

No. I am still missing the share sheet suggestions. I have it on my iPad without issue though and both devices have been on the beta since the beginning.

I though about wiping and restoring but don't really think it's worth the effort. Figure I will have a new phone in a month or so anyway.

Did you find a solution for this ? I have the same issue on both my iPad and iPhone. Share sheet suggestions of contacts frequently used doesn’t show. Where is this sharing sheet suggestions switch menu? Thanks.
