iOS 14 Beta 8

Release Date ―
September 9, 2020
Build Number ― 18A5373a

iOS 14 Beta 8 Release Notes

New Features & Changes
New Issues
Remaining Issues

  • Exposure notifications availability alerts greyed out as "location services turned off"
  • Calendar widget removes events from display 15 minutes after they start, despite the event being scheduled for longer than 15 minutes.
  • Shortcuts app fails to activate Airplay 2 (e.g. Sonos) devices when activated in Siri
  • Refreshing App Store updates after updating apps causes the refresh to hang
  • iTunes Store Genius page layout broken on iPhone
  • App links in pdf or safari don't launch respective apps. They just open a new Safari tab. (This is even after fully performing factory reset). However, links correctly launch their respective apps on iOS 13.7. This is clearly a bug. Apps in question: Swiggy, Zomato

Man... the release notes, particularly known issues for widgets, barely budge.

I wonder if we still get the option to resize widgets on the home screen or whether this feature never makes it. Wouldn‘t be the first time they drop a known issue and forget about it.
