@murad_fourth I mean the widgets that has not been updated, and they are still there. The Weather Widget is there in the new style. When a widget has been updated it‘s not available in the old style, that should be clear.
@wir43 I agree with you but i don’t like the updated weather widgets in iOS 14, the one in iOS 13 was looking good.

I still can’t get used to the legacy widgets no longer appearing when long pressing on an app icon. I used that function so often. The iOS14 widgets will not replace that functionality since they are non-interactive.

I am looking forward to all of the awesome new widgets we have yet to imagine that’ll be scattered across a bunch of Home screens with a smaller number of apps, and not a bunch of folders. I’m waiting until the GM release to just hide all of my apps in the app library and only add a select few intermixed with some widgets. Android might have had this for a while, but Apple’s implementation looks to be way better, even though the widgets aren’t truly interactive.

Actually, has anybody done that? Gone all in on hiding all apps in the App Library and just living that way? I find the categorization and recommended apps to not always be accurate, or at least what I’d be looking for. Would be great to have a way to just swipe to the whole list. I’m surprised after 8 betas that hasn’t gotten more traction.

I have the home page and then just the App Library page. I usually just swipe down from whatever screen I'm on and type the app name I'm after unless the app is on the home page.

I also find every now and then it decides to recategorise some of the apps, so you'll just get used to it being in X folder but then a week later it's in Y folder

Anyone noticing certain times you go into a message thread and the app tray at the bottom, camera, and txt input line flash and then pop up? Also, noticing like some others you cant open an app in a folder unless you wait for the animation to be done. Noticing that throughout the entire OS as well.
Thanks!

First pass check:
Weather App and Weather Widget are still off by a degree.
App Library items in folder shifted again
Mail - still have to sporadically manually refresh to correct badge count - usually shows too many
Had to kill Airpods Pro and reconnect. It saw them but would not connect.

More to come.
IPP 11 is next ....

Oh, I see. My phone is in airplane mode during the night anyway so I haven’t used do not disturb.
End of OT.
Hmm ok so if it’s on airplane mode then it can’t access the interwebz to get the weather to report.

I did and didn't like it just because the App Library is kind of a cluttered mess and needs some help when it comes to placement of certain apps. Like Reddit should be in Social not References and Reading. But one other thing you can use is either the swipe down for alphabetical list, or even spotlight. That's what I'm going to do when I go back to iOS 14 again.

I am guessing resizing widgets is gonna be added in 14.1? I also find it stupid that there is no „+“ add button to add any available widget to your existing stack. Somehow they thought it would be smart to let you change the order or delete a widget but not add one. Always throws me off and I am like why can’t I add widget XY without having to first add it to the widget screen and then drag and drop it on the stack. Stupid and I bet no one is gonna get this

Me. I have a smart stack at the top of page 1. Below are 2 medium Siri Suggestions widgets (16 app positions) which have my most used apps in them, usually timed to when I would normally use them. On Page 2, I have 2 more medium widgets and then just the app library.

See, I completely disagree. I don't use Reddit for social purposes at all. It's more of a news feed for me.

thing is, the developers are the ones that choose the App Store categories that the App Library is using. So you can’t argue with what the developer say is the right category for an app. 🤓

Good thing I agree with the category the developer assigned.

Would you be willing to share a screenshot? I've dabbled with widgets a bit but ended up not using them, yet, but this sounds like a good approach

I have a main page with 1 small Smart Stack and all my most-used apps (Fantastical, Camera, Photos, News, etc.), then one page with only widgets (including Siri Suggestions). Other than that I just pull down to search for whatever app I need.

I have seen some thread where OP was asking why 5G is required and what do you do with that? I think he will find answers in this thread.
