iOS 14 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Having just been jailbroken for the whole of this beta cycle, which was pretty cool customising my app icons from the incredibly boring system ones and using a app called Lynx getting rid of all those annoying things iOS doesn’t need to do but does, I’ve installed 14 and it feels old compared to what’s going on in the JB world. Widgets are old school and condensed more rounded notifications is behind the curve. why haven’t they shown any love and modernised the way settings looks for one, with those annoying dated lines and boring boxie feel. And no customisation to fonts and size on the time and date on Lock Screen. Dumb. Option to change the torch and camera widgets to some things people actually use, when you can swipe left for camera anyway - waste of space that button. Might as well put the poo emoji there instead.

Anyway... I could go on. Just sad that a Trillion dollar company is producing meh looking & functioning software. Peace.

My summation is that this is the best iOS since iOS 12. Everything is fast, stuff that should pre-download does, Bluetooth is completely fixed, no problems with WiFi. Notes and Reminders downloads as it should (note that I didn't upgrade Reminders in 13 or 14). Sync seems to work between macOS and iOS 14 as well. And the widgets are nice. After seeing other screens, it's a bit of a motivation to get the newer phones as there's more vertical space. I still wish you could have smaller icons to fit more in.

I found a new beta update sometime back. Did anyone install this update?
