Can’t imagine anything that can’t be worked around or downgraded.
Yea in 13 my banking app didn't work, but I could just access everything through the website. In 14 it is working fine. The worst thing I ever had happen in a beta was the ATV remote app nor the one in CC were working. This is my main phone, but it is just personal. I would never run a beta on a work device with mission critical stuff.

Mine drains pretty quickly on 11 :(
I haven’t downloaded the actual update yet but I am not a developer either. I found a site to download a profile to my settings that would allow my phone to recieve the update so I downloaded that profile. An hour later my phone was almost dead and I only had the profile downloaded not the update. As a Dev do you have to download a profile before the update shows. And second can you delete the profile and keep the update because maybe it’s the profile that’s draining the battery somehow.

running the beta on my primary device (2020 SE), so far no issues and all of my apps seem to be working. I had a similar good experience with the iOS 13 beta 1, so was willing to gamble again.

Installed over iOS 13 on XSMax early hours and left it. Working well here. I did have to use my Mac to airdrop a note to the notes app to push a sync but it did it no problem after that.

Seeing a few UI bugs as expected.

Also seeing the massive storage space usage reported in the wiki.

Surprised it’s this stable to be honest.

how is the battery life? after 20 hours of usage :)
The only issue I have had w battery drain is related to the smart stack widget on home screen.
Yesterday my battery was at 24% went to bed and even w low power mode turned on it drained entirely (iPP Max 11). I assumed it was this widget and once I deleted from home screen battery issue seems to be resolved.

The problem with installing a beta of a major release like this on your primary phone (iPad is another story) is not when you are essentially at home and can restore at almost anytime. The problem is if you are away from home, like in vacation or something and you have to rely on your phone, you don’t want an unknown issue that will break an important thing in your phone like LTE, or even phone call issues that can happen.

For my experience, beta is not worth it on my primary devices when I can easily put them on my iPad and this year there’s not enough new feature to make me want the update so bad.

I've been running on iPad since it came out and I'm convinced enough that I'm upgrading my phone now. It is worth remembering for anyone on the fence that, just because this beta is pretty solid doesn't mean we won't get a couple of stinkers. Last years adventures in broken GPS were... interesting!

I installed it on my iPhone 11 pro Max this morning, my primary device. So far seems stable, I don’t work from home, wish me luck 🤣

Will also install the iPad iOS beta update on my iPad Pro 12” later today 🙂

Really good first Beta compared to some over the past few years that were pretty unusable. I’ve only had 2 apps that I use that don’t work for me but not going to downgrade for that and it’s Pokémon Go and the Santander banking app.

As far as bugs the only one that I’ve had is sometimes the new incoming calls notifications go back to the old full screen and again I can live with this until it’s fixed.

The UI as others have already mentioned is extremely fast which is great to use.

All was fine until I couldn't access my banking app, so back to iOS 13 for now.
Same for me - that’s the only thing that’s not working for me (Starling); I’ve got round it by installing the banking app on my iPad (which is my primary machine at the moment, so is still on iPadOS13) and expect it will be fixed fairly soon (next couple of betas).

Sometimes, banking apps are so tied to the OS when doing their security whotsits that they may not be allowed to put fixes (specific to iOS 14) into the app store until iOS 14 is publicly released.

I'm really surprised how solid this release is, all of my apps work, including the banking ones, in fact, i can't find a single app that doesn't work for me.

I’m using Starling too as a secondary for my personal account but also my main joint account and my wife can’t be trusted managing it 🤣.
