Timmy’s poor leadership? A 2.4 TRILLION dollar company is poor leadership? Only your criticisms are poor and shoddy
Yeah, he's grown the company... but the software IS shoddy... and as CEO/king/grand Poobah, it's on him to make sure is doesn't happen. Remember when everyone thought/said "Apple - it just works"? That's clearly not the case these days. No x.0 release is stable/reliable... usually they are not worth the effort until at least the x.1 release - sometimes later. That's my opinion, and only Timmy and Federighi can change that for me.

Carry on.

if they’d fixed your issues, someone else might make the same post about why did Apple not fix CarPlay breaking, or losing photos.

Obviously your 2 issues are not as wide spread as the other 5.

Point releases tend to be a small amount of fixes. 5 explicit fixes and many other, unmentioned fixes, is quite a hefty point release, IMHO.

Sometimes Apple goes for the obvious "low hanging fruit"... either his 2 issues were not as widespread as the other 5, OR they were not as easy to fix. We're only on 15.0.2... there still a bumpy road ahead.

my experience is fine and the phone does everything I need it to do. Clearly you posted what you posted to get reactions. Your post won’t age well because software is continually being updated, there’s security updates, and bug fixes. I don’t know any iteration of software in the past decade on smart phones they didn’t need to keep being readjusted and ironed out. Your post is meaningless

Here is a security fix in 15.0.2:

Impact: An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
I think this happened to me earlier this week. I got a spam text message with an image, and then a song started playing from the music app. I didn’t even unlock the phone or read the message. Scary. Hope this is the security flaw that was fixed.

Apple has been resting on its laurels for awhile now… Tim Cook’s leadership might not be poor enough to entirely derail the momentum Apple had been gaining, but Apple and it’s products are not the same quality they were even just several short years ago. I would like to see some new blood restore Apple back to the company that actually earned this reputation for quality, not just coast on it while building products that barely scrape by as good enough.

I was kinda going for the quick answer, but yea. Point releases will be a few of either the quick fixes or more widespread critical issues.

There’s a chunk of the big issues fixed in 15.1. Not sure about promotion or the touch response issues mentioned, as not seen any posts in there about it (either I missed them, or no one running it has the issue, it’s been a long couple weeks, so could be the former).

I have to agree with dwfaust. It is crazy that this company, who had such a beautiful reputation for quality is releasing software with such numerous and intense bugs. They aren’t throwing these iOSs together overnight… it it unbelievable that no one is catching these huge bugs during the testing phase prior to release? It’s simply unprofessional

High build number jump, assuming
It doesn’t work like that for a new version though?
Actually, only 4 builds up in reality.
15.0.2 includes a kernel patch (new kernel build date, Sept. 29th versus Aug. 15th in 15.0 and 15.0.1).

Every time a new kernel build is included, build number jumps up to the next full hundred.
In this case from 19A348 to 19A400. From there on, they did 4 additional builds, releasing 19A404.
So besides the „new kernel build“ it‘s only 4 „bug fixing“ builds up from 15.0.1. ;)

Has anything actually been fixed?

App Store update page hanging.

App Store search not working.

Battery percentage becoming stuck if you restart your phone.

Storage bug

Device list not loading

Apps not loading, need to fully close them and reopen them.

Buggy Face ID on 13 pro max.

Mail badge icon still showing after viewing emails.

FFS apple get it together. 😡

I´m stil having problem with the writing text field covering the latest messages in Message when using Magic Keyboard on my iPad. Jeez Apple! this have been reported since iPadOS 15 beta and they also marked with "potential fix identified" which is not true.

I have none of the problems that you have listed.

Don't waste your time reporting anything, nothing is getting fixed these days, Tim Cook is busy focusing on his services bringing in them 💰 instead of focusing on software, been using iPhones since the 3GS days, software has never been this bad.

Not a single one of those issues on my 13 Pro.

Find that very hard to believe.

Like blues eyes said, the App Store bug is affecting everyone.
I just went into my App Store, scrolled all the way down the main page then switched over to the account page, scrolled down, scrolled back up and hit "Install All" for the three updates that were available. Not a single stutter, hang or loss of frames.

So it may come as a shock but blues eyes, nor anybody else registered on this forum, can speak for everybody.

Tested it again a few time after installing iOS 15.0.2, hasn't hanged so far, did the same thing last time after 15.0.1, then it came back, I'll keep a eye on it.
