This is awfully strange. Usage by Messages throughout the night is back and now it's pretty much the whole night rather than a couple of minutes each hour. Anybody else seeing this?

Phone is charging when I took this In battery setting ?

Not sure if that relevant. Not seeing any battery drain.

Could the messaging showing up be related to icloud sync on messages? Would make sense if the phone is talking to icloud, especially while charging. Several tasks are ran when online and charging, same with icloud backup(If enabled)

I saw this pop up as well.

Essentially, the destination account for forwarded hide my emails needs to be available in your mail app.

Example:

name@email.com is the email account associated with your Apple ID.

name@GMAIL.com is configured in iOS mail.
name@compuserve.com is configured in iOS mail

You will see the pop-up message if your name@email.com associated with your Apple ID is not configured in your iOS mail.

I hope this makes sense.

Yep makes perfect since (to me) and sorta what the message states. However the address I use for AppleID is in my mail app already. Along with several others. But only the AppleID one is available to be selected and it doesn’t like that one. Thx for the reply tho. I think there is something else hosed up or that feature is bugged.

Has anyone had issues with shortcuts running? I have one that opens my garage door via an API key from Liftmaster. I have another that opens a particular webpage when I turn off my morning alarm. Both have failed in recent days and I am wondering if this might be related to the AWS outages in some way.

Yep. I use Shortcuts to open parking lot gates at my office. I deleted the shortcuts and re-created and seems to work fine now. Very weird.

I have one that makes me my morning brew, but recently that’s stopped working since 15.2 or 38weeks ??

That reminds me… “Ask Santa for a new wife, this one’s got too buggy” ?

The Music app on my iPhone and iPad is using 2.5 GB of space though I have no songs downloaded. I don’t even use the music app on my iPad. The app used to take up less than 100 MB.
just delete it where it is not used.

Whatever setting I selected, my 13 ProMax was stuck on 3G. I tried various things without success. I now seem to have resolved it by turning the line off & back on again.
Update: My iPhone has now switched to 3G & the above method is no longer resolving this.

It is a pain but if you need to get service higher than 3G, I would downgrade back to 15.1.X ASAP! If the issue is still not resolved, might need to contact your carrier. Don't wait for Apple to close the door of 15.1 though, they can at any time.

Might be a hardware (radio) issue.

If it can help someone.
I couldn’t use the corner gesture to make a screenshot with my finger , only with  Pencil.
Fixed it by going into settings - gestures- turning off and back on Allow Finger to Swipe From Corner.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before ;-)

I’d suggest resetting network settings.
Well before I took that step I tried one of the simpler things I’d thus far omitted, airplane mode on & off - resolved! For now anyway, but there’s obviously something underneath going on, whether it be software or, hardware related.

For what it’s worth my current set up is dual sim, with EE UK as Primary (eSIM) & DTAC Thailand (roaming on O2) as secondary (physical sim). Other than when I first bought it & had to use data from the DTAC sim to re authorise a couple of apps, I’ve used EE exclusively for mobile data.

Around here, the EE signal isn’t the best indoors (4G & 5G) & on occasion, I have known it to still switch to 3G. So, on the rare occasion this happens, it may be that the phone is having trouble switching back. I suppose this could be coincidental with 15.2 & actually be hardware related, as was suggested earlier in the thread.

My wife has the identical set up on her 13 Pro Max & hasn’t experienced this issue. She’s still on 15.1, where I’ve suggested she remain, at least until I can figure out what’s going on.

Having a similar issue with 5G to LTE.
Tried all the little things, reached out to AT&T and had them check from their side, then I reset Network Settings. Helped for a couple of days. Now I am back to more LTE than 5G even with the primary set to 5G and better bars on 5G (4 vs 2 for LTE).

Seems that 15.2 is not quite ready for prime time. Interesting how several of these issues only getting mentioned AFTER the release version. Myself, the hide my email is jacked and does not work. And today phone calls randomly cut off (disconnected) and other times BT audio went away during a call. Not had these issues previously. Oh and Weather app (Apples built in app) had no option for setting notifications. (neither did Microsoft Authenticator) Had to delete the Weather app and reinstall to get the option for notifications in settings back. For MS Auth, I had to remove one account then add it back to get the notifications prompt which then added the app back to the notification's options in settings. Screwy times with this 15.2. I never really have any issues even with the betas until this one. Debating going back to 15.1 while I still can. But hoping for a quick 15.2.1 that perhaps can settle things a little.
