Maybe some people have various rules/config in their router that otherwise wouldn't work.

As a related example, I disable the "Private Address" option when on my home WiFi (which would othewise scramble the MAC address) as I want my router to know who I am and allocate me the hard-coded IP address I've set.
This is exactly why I’d only have it disabled at home, too. I’ve received a few notifications from the Xfinity app telling me there’s a new connection at home, but it’s just been my same iPhone. I’m sure it’ll all get better over time, though.

Smh I can’t post image on wikipost. Fine, here we go.

I had a shortcut that would turn on DND for x minutes. I just tested it and it failed. However, simply re-entering the steps seems to have sorted it. It did automatically change the DND action to use the new Focus one, but it broke the chain of variables (or whatever you'd call it when passing variables from one action to another). As I say, simply redoing the steps one by one and it now works.

That works…until you have a 200 step shortcut with a dozen variables!

I do recall this happening last year and by beta 2, it sorted itself and the imported Shortcuts worked without modification.

All my other shortcuts are working; that was the only one.

(Well, all my translation ones are failing but that's because there's no speech recognition available at the moment.)

Had this same thing happen last night with my iPad. Couldn’t figure out what the new device was (sneaky neighbor?). So I snoozed the connection. Figured it out pretty quickly when my iPad couldn’t connect.

This is going to be pretty unpleasant for a lot of people though who won’t figure it out (because they don’t follow Apple news ceaselessly ) especially where the person who monitors the home network is not the user of the “new” device.

The "private network" setting came with iOS 14, so they've already sorted that out (or not!). I don't know what the new feature does, as to date I've been too stingy to go above the default 5GB iCloud space :)

Really? I’d never used it before or even seen it. It must now be on by default because my iPad went from having a name to a random group of alphanumerics. That’s why I didn’t recognize it.

Is anyone getting notifications from the Weather app? CARROT Weather is still sending them but I’ve gotten none from the revamped Weather app.
I have them turned on but haven’t gotten any. It says it’ll send notifications when rain or snow starts or stops. Guess that explains why I haven’t gotten any notifications 😂 We’re in a drought and rain is looking pretty non-existent for the next week or so.

Areas less than two hours south of me are getting soaked every few days though, so I guess I’ll pick a location down there and turn notifications on to see what happens 😂

The notifications keep getting disabled after awhile. I’m attributing that to another bug.

Has anyone had bluetooth issues? When I open the lid of my airpods pro, bluetooth goes to "unavailable" and then back on but disconnects my airpods. Only happens with them, other bluetooth devices are fine. I tried resetting the pods to no luck. Should I restore from factory and setup as new iphone? Any ideas are more than welcome

Unfortunately, I don't own a pair of airpods myself but I have seen similar issues with 14.6 final and 14.7 beta 1/2. Probably just another ongoing bug.

So my alarms are not working, overslept twice. I ended up setting one this morning on the iPad to make sure it was working and it did. Anyone have issues with alarms not sounding off?
Worked fine this morning sounding on both XS Max and AW4c, and that is with both DND and the mute toggle engaged. Worked as always.

True, but that means you can't refresh further down a page. You have to got to the top...
Just as there's no hovering over the title/tab bar to see the full name of the currently open tab in OS 12. Apple's ignoring our current tabs while addressing multi-tabs. I hope both of these are addressed.

How is your Battery drain? Mine is INSANELY bad.
Somehow my Calendar App uses 33 % Battery all the time and I dont know why,.
So much for apple focusing more on bug fixes this year, instead of new features, seems to be the same old story every year. 🥺
