Is anybody else noticing that this beta has increased the other category under storage to over 20gb constantly?
It’s my understanding that the “other” section in iPhone (or iPad) Storage is a space set aside for swapping/moving files around. And considering it’s still a beta, regardless of how stable it is, there’s still going to be the same behaviors. Meaning the extra logging and moving around of files and caching. At one point during the initial iOS 14 betas I had well over 60GB set aside in “other”! But it all cleared up after the official release.

We all saw. Most of us don’t post feedback for other people’s issues.
Well I thought this forum was about bugs, and the point of testing software was for everyone to report issues and get them fixed, you didn’t have to be rude lol. It makes sense for more people to report this so that’s the only reason I was trying to bring attention to it
I had this issue yesterday B2 no alarm sounds, but with a sound set to play
And obviously I’m not the only one having alarm issues. This is a pretty important bug that is an issue whether it’s beta or not. for something people rely on to fail so often you’d think more people would care about getting this fixed.

I would say IMO all bugs are welcome as long as you have first hand knowledge of them.
I have posted a few like that.

Posted in this forum.
Feedback is a different issue and you should only report yours.

It’s not normal practice to report bugs on behalf of other people. Only report bugs which you have yourself. When they collect all of the logs off your phone and other devices they need to reflect said bug or bugs.

It seems banking apps break more than others when the betas come out. Does this mean Apple is updating security APIs banks tend to use?

I'm just wondering why this category seems more affected than most.
Banks tend to be a lot more particular about OS versioning than other apps to prevent unauthorized access and fraud. They are notoriously hard on jailbreaks.

Rain in the Weather app is still not splashing…

Mine have worked properly since B1... try turning off that virtual home button to see if that has anything to do with it. Maybe it is interfering with the overlay. You can also check that the "Reduce Motion" setting is not enabled in Accessibility--> Motion...

Just trying to offer up anything that could be affecting visual effects. It seems to be hit or miss.

Sorry...did not intend to be rude, but this is a pet peeve of mine. Its fine to ask people to test something and, if it doesn't work, to report it. But its not ok to encourage a mass reporting of something the others have not experienced first hand. It skews the reporting and, as noted by others, will not correspond to the logs that accompany the bug reports which may it harder, not easier, for Apple to diagnose the issue.

I understand. I did explain though to see how the bug works in my original post, and I’m highly positive it’s the reason most people are having alarm problems.

My vote is for there to be a separate "non-splashing raindrops" thread where this critical issue can be treated with the respect it deserves.
Or everyone can just apply the fix by going to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size >Larger Text

Turn off "Larger Accessibiltiy Sizes" and then center the size bar at the bottom to the middle setting.

Is anyone else getting a error: 1340 when trying to update via IPSW??

Edit: I'm assuming it's a private relay issue... Works as intended once I disabled it.

Second that, but I would welcome some real splashing raindrops here under the heat dome at 42-43c and humid, at least with today's b2 of macOS my AirPods Max work more reliably when a call comes in and takes me to my iPhone, handoff is much better between devices now.
Now as to iOS while it has been pretty good on my XSMax, it complains about wifi when connect to my wpa3 5ghz channel as encrypted dns is not working correctly, but is happy on wpa2.

Anyone able to unlock Apple Watch with iPhone? Can’t get it to work on this beta. Checked all my settings.

edit: nevermind it now works and there’s a new “lock” option in the unlock banner.
Do you know how this fixed itself? Been a problem for me since 15b2 was installed.
