Driving focus still doesn’t auto activate for me when connected to car Bluetooth or set to automatically.

This update is huge! 5.3gb on my 12 pro max for what is being panned as a minor build update? Did they replace every image in the build or something?:D
In all likelihood, they enabled additional/different instrumentation and debug logging in various system components for the public beta, which means that all of those rebuilt libraries and system apps have to be replaced, rather than the relatively small number that usually change from beta to beta within the same release cycle — it's the same reason why OTA updates from beta to RC/final release builds are so large (much of that instrumentation/debug logging would be disabled for builds intended for public release, requiring replacement of all of those libraries again).

Isn’t the Public Beta supposed to be Beta 1? It said Public Beta 2 for me.
Yes, but it wouldn't be the first time Apple's fudged the naming of beta releases. There's been times where two totally different people install the Dev Beta on the same model iPhone, but then the name of the update that's provided is different for each person. Since Dev Beta 2 was released "again" with one letter increment in the build number, and then the Public Beta released with the same build, who knows. I'm sure it'll all be sorted out sooner than later.

4.4GB on iPad Pro, quite weird to have what must be almost a full new install and still be on the same beta number. Perhaps someone at Apple hit 2 when they meant to hit 3.

Charging using MagSafe (and/or a standard wall charger) seems more reliable here on iPhone 12 and M1 iPad, although the problems I was experiencing also could have had to do with the recent unprecedented heat wave here.

Everyone should request or complain about the lack of a „delete all“ button for iMessage attachments via the Feedback App. This has been s….. me literally for GENERATIONS. There isn’t even a swipe gesture to select them all at once. Tapping each photo one by one on 3 different iOS devices is driving me nuts
I don’t think I will. 😆
you were saying 🤔😂🕺

These are BIG updates (5.3GB on my 12PM and 5.5 on my 11" IPP). Whatever happened to delta updates between betas? :D
It is, technically, still a delta update — it just so happens that the delta this time is essentially the entire operating system because of whatever logging/instrumentation changes they decided to make in preparation for the public beta. 😁

Addendum: The full iOS 15 beta 2a IPSW is 6.43 GB for the 12 Pro Max, downloaded from the developer portal, so this beta is ~1.1 GB smaller OTA.

On the updated Beta 2, just had a phone call come in while my phone was on silent (vibrate-only) and the phone still rang. Reported via feedback.
