I'm doing a reset all settings now. Cross your toes.
I'm not sure if it's too late but I attempted to reset all settings. it worked for a bit but then spotlight stopped working later. Waiting for feedback from those that did the reset and restore option to see if those last past the day before I make a move there.

I am not able to search, either via spotlight, or the app library on my iPhone 12 Pro. It's working fine on my iPad Pro - anyone know of a fix? Reboot didn't fix.
Sounds like a bug that everyone will have to just deal with until the next beta.

So... while it's only a few minutes after, the reset all seems to be working.

However now my phone can't connect to anything in the Home app. Just my Apple TVs and full-size HomePods (the Minis still don't work right).

I have a little survivor's guilt reading all your search issues. Checked App Library, Messages, and Settings—and search is 100% fast and smooth in all of them. Not trying to gloat or jinx it, but wondering if there might be anything you can do since it's not universal.

So now you’re calling 2 people (@TimFL1 and I) liars, for sharing our own personal experiences? Also, we’re not talking about ‘ANY’ banking app, we’re talking about just 1, HSBC UK.

Why should we have to go find posts from over the last 5 years, threads are likely to be about a few hundred pages long in total, to prove you wrong, we we’ve got actual personal experiences of it?!

EDIT: Also, why you restricting it to iOS 11 and later?

EDIT 2: Ahhh did you set it as being from iOS 11, cos you know there is evidence of it pre-iOS 11? Like for instance iOS 7:
Beta 4 confirms HSBC UK not working in that beta: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-7-beta-4-app-failure-list.1615778/
iOS 7 Beta 5 and it’s confirmed to be working now: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-7-beta-4-app-failure-list.1615778/post-17693742

That’s from a 5 minute search.
I have Partners Credit union and this happen for me. It worked in beta 1, stopped working in beta 2 (couldn’t login just respring back to login screen) then started working for me again yesterday with no update from partners..

Almost no app developer would be willing to make potentially expensive changes to their apps based on iOS beta releases, which are constantly changing. Developers tend to wait for the final iOS release before applying the fixes. Users should not be using iOS beta versions if they can’t live with something being temporarily broken.

I‘m talking about the Sparkasse apps though. I‘ll maybe do some digging because the apps worked during one of the last few beta cycles (maybe it was iOS 12 or 13, unsure though).

Ahh apologies for misrepresenting you as being also HSBC UK user, but still, same principle applies, banking app.

I’m fine in the knowledge of my own experience that it has started working with a beta update, rather than an app update and I will just ask each release if anyone’s got it working. If anyone has an issue with that, they can deal with it and they can not get on my back for asking the question. Simple as. 😂

It’s funny how people seem to pick on one person to bag on, when other people have asked in threads if an app is working and they don’t get the level of hassle I’ve gotten for asking about HSBC…..

To be very clear, despite 1 person saying otherwise, there’s at least 3 of us that have experienced banking apps not working intitally on a beta, and then it’s started working with a later beta update, rather than an app update from the developer.

I actually don’t like the change they made with moving the search box to the bottom in Safari. It makes it harder to look at what you’re typing and the results at the same time.

Interesting... being able to access the settings for Messages is directly tied to whether or not you've gotten messages to work. (Forwarding got turned off when I reset all.)

Does anyone who is a News+ or Apple One subscriber have a banner stuck in Apple News — “Get Apple News+”?
