I’m pretty sure that this is a MR issue, not an Apple issue. Sounds like they have some code in the forum software that is causing the processor to overwork. That’s why those of us who view the forum on Tapatalk don’t have this issue.

EDIT: I see that @TimFL1 addressed this issue as well. I would restate though that viewing the forum in Tapatalk resolves this. And you should post about this in MR’s “forum” discussion thread. I know they’re aware of this but they should hear how many users are not happy about this.

I will say I am not seeing this overheating use issue on my Android from this site.
Tried it using Edge and Bromite browsers.
I am seeing it on my 12 ProMax though.

Mail

On opening Mail app I no longer have to do a manual refresh; the app does it on open on its own. Nice to see.
But … the badge count on the IPP11 is still whacked. The badge count on the 12PM seems to be fairly accurate all the time (nice!) while the IPP11 seems to be caught in some kind of “do not refresh” loop. Same accounts on both yet they seldom match.

Is the "reindexing" that folks talk about here after a software update a real thing?
Most likely yes. See this quora post from a former Apple employee. https://www.quora.com/Is-it-true-th...o-the-indexing-of-existing-data-on-the-device

Also, update your Mac and go to Activity Monitor and watch the 2 processes "MDS" and "MD Worker" following an update. They are hard at work. They are metadata processes associated with Spotlight. Given the similar underpinnings in iOS and MacOS it stands to reason that the OS is similarly reindexing following an update.

Came here to post the same thing. I like the look of this. 👌🏻

@Rogifan What do you mean by a light border around the address bar?
In previous versions of Safari the address bar was a lighter gray with no border. Now it’s the same color as the background with a border around it. I like iOS 14 version better.

I’m having this Share Sheet (using Mail) bug since beta 1

I like it because the border isn't there on private browsing, so it makes it easier to tell if you're in private or not. Same on Monterey Beta 5

Bug where media playing either doesn’t pause when a phone call comes in or it won’t resume when using Siri/dictation seems to be fixed. Now I don’t have to use control center to pause my media after I’ve answered a phone call and don’t have to manually resume playing if I use Siri or dictation. This is nice.

Apple 🤦‍♂️ You don't get the new design in compact view, only works in separate view 🤦‍♂️

FWIW, not having the battery issue in Safari with Lockdown firewall running. Whatever it is seems to not get through.
Maybe site owner will finally reply one day 🤦‍♂️ Not expecting a fix.

I know this is off topic but does anyone know if watchOS 8 public beta 5 is out yet?
I have not seen it come out.. with the developer beta being delayed for some reason they may delay the PB till next week when beta 6 comes out.. Dev beta 5 seems fine to me

How you guys getting safari bookmarks? what was 1 click in iOS 14, seems to be 2/3 clicks now.
