I finally boarded the beta train on my XS with today's PB5 release, moving from 14.7.1. I've only been installed about an hour and have already seen the phantom screen wake others have reported seeing, which I was not seeing on 14.7. I've filed feedback FB9489977 under the "Lock Screen" category. I've also updated the wiki post on the "Buggy/Broken Apps" thread with some apps that are working as expected that were not listed.

Still have the bug where it doesn’t load images in emails and says “Unable to load remote content privately.” Even though I have that setting off and never asked it to load privately.
Unfortunately you are not alone. I would report it in feedback though, hopefully it is fixed soon.

I’m getting this on my Lock Screen. It’s one iOS 15 feature I haven’t messed with yet. 4FE61058-FBC4-4B51-82EA-3354796DC85B.png

Welp, this is the first iOS beta that doesn’t wreck my battery when browsing these forums.

My phone used to get super warm and the battery would literally drop a percentage point every 30-60 seconds.

Seems fine now.

For the record, I do not use content blockers or any kind.

Jumped beta train with PB5 from 14.7.1

So far so good but I have a bug with Weather widget (in a Widgets group)

After the update I reboot the phone and when turned it on again the Weather widget is blank. Even opening the Weather app to let it refresh doesn’t work. Widget is still blank now. Feedback submitted.

Edit: Solved editing the group, deleting the Weather widget and the adding it again.
This used to happen to me every time I restarted the phone on iOS 15. The fix was always to just delete the widget and re-add it.

However, with this beta my Weather widget only stays like that for a few seconds before reverting back to normal.

Saying this again: there is a general topic about this forum going rogue on peoples batteries / devices and a MacRumors administrator responded and acknowledged that there may be some script or ad that causes excessive resources usage. No ETA on a fix though afaik.

It‘s probably not tief to iOS 15 because the people in that topic also had the issue on 14, some report that certain content blockers fix the issue.

Where you see this? seems to be the same old story 🤦‍♂️

It won’t get fixed because they won’t remove or change the ads that are causing the issue.

Just a warning to all my fellow Bitwarden users. Autofill seems to be completely broken on DB5. I can get it to work once after a forced reboot but then it goes back to not doing anything when I tap on the autofill suggestion.

Manual password management from the app works fine, like I can copy and paste passwords, just autofill seems to be affected.

Forum causing battery drain again, even with a content blocker, just lost 3 percent in 2 minutes when not on here battery life is great.

Phone getting warm as well when on here.

FFS fix this already.

I’m pretty sure that this is a MR issue, not an Apple issue. Sounds like they have some code in the forum software that is causing the processor to overwork. That’s why those of us who view the forum on Tapatalk don’t have this issue.

EDIT: I see that @TimFL1 addressed this issue as well. I would restate though that viewing the forum in Tapatalk resolves this. And you should post about this in MR’s “forum” discussion thread. I know they’re aware of this but they should hear how many users are not happy about this.

They seem to be having this issue way too often 🤦‍♂️ Watching my battery life drain like no tomorrow, volume buttons on my phone felt like they were going to melt off from the heat. 😡

weird. Total opposite for others, with or without content blockers on.
