Top corners are still weird on some items in the App Store in dark mode. Been like that since iOS13!

Yes. Before beta 5 I think I always had roughly 15gb free on my iPhone and 22gb free on my iPad. Since then my iPhone says I have 58gb free and 42gb free on my iPad. I have not deleted anything or changed much really. Also, system data never seems to populate, always shows zero.
The reason you have more storage available, system data is now empty. 😃😳

It’s true that Safari (and more or less the entire OS) has very few if any obvious design changes. But there are definitely differences. Beta 7 has subtly smoothed out the animation for that bottom URL bar considerably. In b6 it would consistently hitch/skip/drop frames ever so slightly when tapped to expand into a text field, but now the animation is much more fluid and perhaps just a hair faster. They have also refined the animation curves for the scaling and fading of elements during the show/hide on scroll animation. It’s clear Apple got out the b6 design as fast as they possibly could, and now they’re taking the time to really “dial it in” and focus on the little details.

With this beta, I find that on attaching the MK, no keypress registers (supposed to wake up the screen) until I wake via the actual iPad. Used to be able to connect and hit any key 2x to wakeup and unlock.

has the cellular connection become unstable for anyone else? Service is dropping down to fake 4G pretty often, and in some cases falling back to “No Sevice”

Apps running in the background is back, was fixed on previous betas. 🤦‍♂️ Maybe phone is still indexing. 🤔 battery life still going strong on this beta.

I’ve never had a chance to say this, so glad that now I have: Safari is snappier.

Specifically, flipping between tabs, swiping the bottom bar. It’s flawless now, all sites loaded fully, no jerkiness when going up, down or sideways through the pages.

They betas we get are usually 4-6 weeks old. Meaning this beta 7 was finished 4-6 weeks ago. That’s how software development is done. We don’t get the latest and greatest. ;)
Spotted the armchair developer
At least.

I've stopped, as I was fed up of being abused.

You're incorrect @Arni99 . Never that old. Usually a week to 10 days between the build creation and when we get it. First beta is the exception and is more like 14 days.

B1 - Kernel was May 22nd and we got it on June 7th - ios-15-beta-1-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2299572
B2 - Kernel was June 17th and we got it on June 24th - ios-15-beta-2-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2302187
B3 - Kernel was July 5th and we got it on July 14th - ios-15-beta-3-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2304245
B4 - Kernel was July 20th and we got it on July 27th - ios-15-beta-4-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2305670
B5 - Kernel was August 3rd and we got it on August 10th. ios-15-beta-5-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2307124
B6 - Kernel was August 10th and we got it on August 17th. ios-15-beta-6-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2307830
To add to that, Kernel date does not have to equal build date so we‘re mostly looking at any point between the 2 dates.

Are apps randomly crashing for you guys? Twitter crashes and I lose my recent searches. Chase mobile app crashes and loses my stored login/faceId settings, investing.com crashes, etc…

I’m still not getting Mail notifications on either my phone or iPad. Is this just me?

Twitter closes when I try to open it but works on the second attempt

I am using the Twitter TestFlight beta, that seems to work.

Check your Mail notification settings, there‘s an item „Customize Notifications“ at the bottom that allows you to tweak alerts / badges for individual inboxes. B6 reset that for me, turning all alerts off (means no notifications).

You’re an absolute star. Why bury a setting there though?

I did that and yes, it does stop the News app running in the background. But when I launch the News app again, it will continue running in the background until I reboot the phone again - doesn't need a hard reboot, just the normal one.

Have you experienced the same after using News after a hard reboot?

try toggling background app refresh on/off for News. Then a hard restart

not quite flawless, im afraid. Still seeing this dancing page as you open Safari onto the tabs page 😬
