iOS 15 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

5W charger (only because Apple didn't put a better one in the box when I bought my 11). No wireless charging. I'm too stingy to buy a better charger, let alone a wireless one! I'm not pampering my phone.

I charge overnight every night or every other night. My phone is off during this time so optimised charging obviously doesn't work.

Phone was bought in October 2019 and has 96% battery capacity. It went up from a lower number (I forget what as I hardly ever check) after doing this new calibration thing.

You must have missed @Banglazed Coconut Battery screenshot post showing his battery is in fact at 100% capacity of it’s original with regards to mah.

I think they do… 🤔🤭😂 check post 129.

Coconut Battery is only doing estimates itself, not accurate at all so it‘s as worthless as the integrated battery health stats.

If you want to try it yourself, drain your battery to 0% and then fully charge and redo the battery check in Coconut, chances are high it shows you a different capacity because batteries don‘t report capacity… they report an estimate.

since beta 1 but only realized it was wrong after beta 7. I’m going to do a fresh install when 15 is released in full and its only hitting pro max users it seems for some reason. My 12 mini doesn’t have this issue

My storage used amounts are whacked too. My iPhone 12Pro now shows ZERO storage used, my 12mini shows 3.3GB used, my iPad Pro 11 shows Zero used.

I’ve done 2-3 since B8 install to try and get something out of iPhone storage. Nowt. Reported.

Something definitely going with storage used, I’m down 5gb on what I normally should have.

The HSBC Banking App still does not work. It opens and then crash straight away it’s been like this since day 1 of iOS 15 been reporting it every build still have the same issue. 🤦🏻

Still get notifications of money in/out though so it's working to some extent. Won't bother with future betas because of this.

Maybe too early to tell but memory management seems to be improved so far in Safari

B8 bugs I’ve seen so far on my 12 Pro Max -

• Storage bug (system data shows zero kb, photos storage is fine)
• Siri can’t toggle noise cancellation settings (transparency + turning off anc included).
• Some photos file names are misaligned in the info panel in the photos app (does not affect all photos, but still a considerable amount).
• News widget disappears after updating the phone.
• Contacts widget set in the today view resets to family members on Apple account after updating the phone (as opposed to remembering the set contacts).
• Siri does not report battery level on Apple Watch or AirPods Pro.
• App Store update page jumpy when you check for updates.
• (Minor bug) in the music app, if you press the button to select the output source (Airplay button), and then tap anywhere to close it, the status bar blinks for a second.
• (Minor bug) the click sound that happens when you press the torch or camera button on the Lock Screen stops working if you activate a live wallpaper (it only happens if a live wallpaper is activated, until it is activated, the sound works). The sound starts working again once you unlock and lock the phone
  
  Reported all of the above on the feedback app.

Found another one - If you use WhatsApp (not sure if this is the case with all third party messaging apps) and you have announce notifications on, the message you received is announced twice every time.

Does anyone else have the irritating bug on iPadOS 15 where it just zooms the screen in on itself whilst in an app? It‘s a minor inconvenience but when it’s happening multiple times a day, my patience is wearing thin.

Still 100% here too. Release day 12PM was showing 99% when I turned it in to get this replacement. I got the replacement June 1st and I’m still sitting at 100%.

also on WhatsApp, so waiting on a update from the app to tweak for ios15, … when you post a message over say 5 lines deep, it posts just showing the first couple of lines. Not the full message. Feels like the view port is off. Or this is a new feature and it sucks, because you need to pull down to see your message displayed. I’m not talking about super long messages that you click extend.
