iOS 15 Broken/Buggy Apps

No surprise. Happens every year, they say the same thing. A lot of the time, it started working with a new beta. Occasionally it was when they updated their app (either during beta or public release).

No point asking them anything on twitter, they will just stick out the corporate line of basically ‘we don’t support beta’s, so lump it’. Fair enough, as they don’t have to support betas for us.

Yeah didnt mean to ask them as I already knew the answer lol. Their online banking was down this morning so i slid that in lol.
 
I have a problem with Instagram Stories since updating to iOS 15 B4. Stories play no sound, tried to mute/unmute the phone, change the volume, re-install Instagram.

Only way to get the sound is to first play a video on the timeline and turn on the sound there.

Anyone else facing the same problem?
Any workaround?

Works fine. iPhone 12 Pro.

I’m having an issue with USAA, and depositing a check. Anyone else having problems with the camera not recognizing the boundaries of the check? It will take the front picture fine, but when I try to take a picture of the back, it’s give me an error and must retake it. Rinse and repeat u tik I get frustrated and stop.
 
Opening any youtube link in youtube app is (purposely) broken by Google. Opening links takes you to m.youtube in safari browser.
 
Call of Duty Mobile crashes upon launch. Doesn’t seem to be a pattern. Sometimes I need to relaunch it 10+ times before I get in, other times I might get in on the first try. When the game runs, it doesn’t crash. It’s only during the loading sequence before getting into the main menu.

Did you fill out the wiki with this search/spotlight problem? Because I’m not convinced it’s a specific v15 issue. I have started to witness this behaviour in 14.7.1 too.

No issue for me here. COD Mobile works fine on my IP12PM
 
Update
My daughter has a 11 ProMax and I have a 12 ProMax. We both use the Chase app (banking).
Both are on beta 4.
Face ID for both of us keeps getting turned off in app account settings even though it is on in Settings > Chase.

I use the Chase app also on my 12Pro. I do seem to have to set up Face ID again every time a new beta or version comes out, but other than that seems to be working ok. I also see the same on some of my other bank apps I use.

Not likely. There hasn't been an app update and it's still broken on this beta. We can only hope they update the app or it magically starts working from the next beta. Tbh, it's the only app that makes me scared of losing my phone as I can't just easily restore it then. Need to go through that whole digital key setup process again.

Really making me consider switching!

All my others are working but just about every other time Chase is turning off FaceID in the app.
 
About HSBC.

Received an email from them today about the app not supporting 3 devices simultaneously from a certain date, going forward. I hope this is not just server-side, and that they would release an update to the app. I hope if and when they do, it fixes the app on iOS 15.
