If you’ve already updated, why you asking about IPSW? As that just duplicates what you’ve already done.
I have it in my mind that it would be a better install since some of my notifications are not working. Thought that I would try the IPSW as a one full install and see whether that solves those things. No other reason.

hh Okies. Fair enough. I was just puzzled.

but you made solid sense through out. Don’t worry about it to much. 😉
Yea, yet people would prefer to ignore evidence for someone on Twitter making an assumption before the RC came out (doesn’t matter who they were, assuming is not fact or a sign of conviction). 🙄

Yet you're still assuming today' release includes the security fix and not the one prior. There's technically no evidence for your assumption than there is for Gui's... Just sayin' :)

So I deleted my Beta Profile to get the update, after the update I went back to the Developer Website to reload the Beta Profile to be ready for 15.1...but the Beta Profiles are all gone with the exception of Mac. I assume they will be putting new Beta profiles on the Developer site...

Well, the text going from RC to public release states it includes security updates and a fix to widgets.

So, that is more reliable that the new build includes the Pegasus exploit fix than Gui’s post before the RAC release, where the build is it known, and he presumed it’s in iOS 15……

Since we got a new build today, can you still see apple releasing a new update for the iPhone 13 models on Friday? 🤔

I’m just being facetious. But seriously, some of these major tech pages site his “work”.. He’s no “random” twitter guy.

If anything I think this new build adds more credence to an update on Friday. We’ve had it before when new devices got an update as part of setup. Also seen an x.0.x released just for new devices.

seeing as new phones had to have iOS 15 installed 3 weeks ago, which was before Apple were informed of the exploit, I’m sure they will get something.

I know who he is, and I was exaggerating a bit, but that tweet was absurd to base an opinion on as it came out before the RC build and he was assuming iOS 15 would have the fix. If it was after RC came out and he was more indicative, then I would have given it some credit.
