Basically 2021 with iOS 15.

The just renamed iOS 14.x with iOS 15
It’s true…in fact it just hit me earlier how little iOS (specifically in terms of UI) has changed in recent years. Almost feels like the last truly significant, obvious change—other than the somewhat mundane addition of dark mode with iOS 13—was the control center redesign; when was that, iOS 11? Not that I’m in love with change for the sake of change, but Apple’s UI development dollars seem to have dried up for iOS, I’m guessing redirected to Car/VR.

The number of changes is irrelevant.
It’s all about SDK-changes.
Apple version numbering is: XX.Y.Z
If there are changes to some SDKs (or even new SDKs), there‘s a Y bump. If not, Z bumps do the job. ;)
