I’ve been using the 16.0 betas since it was released, I’ve had my 13 pro for 6 weeks it’s still got 100% battery health. The battery was fine on Beta 5&6 soon as I went up to beta 7 the battery life started dropping like anything. The RC version I’m currently running is the worse. I’ve had to turn off all settings including Pro Motion just to get through the day. People on here saying that we should basically accept it… Errm no the 12 & 13 lines should not have battery issues if they are less than 2 years old it’s a joke. Seeing as mine is only 6 weeks old it definitely should not be having any issues. Personally since they added the battery percentage in (in the later betas) it’s caused the battery to be a total train wreck. BTW I’ve done everything including doing a fresh install. Bottom line Apple upset the balance and CBA to put it right instead of delaying the update by another couple days or a week so it went out smooth as butter.

Absolutely agree. My iP13PM is 12 weeks old. Battery health is 100%.

I could easily get 2 days of usage between charges on iOS 15.x. Now, without any usage change, additional apps or setting changes, I can just about get a day.

I thought I would try iOS 16.1 beta 2 in a hope that drain was better, but it appears not.

Went to bed with sleep mode enabled from 9pm-7am basically every app off and I force closed every app before I wet to bed and when I woke up battery went from 83% to 68%!!!!! I had all apps closed but the culprit was "Find My" and "MileIQ" using a good percentage overnight. I deleted my two air tags to see if that can be the issue with Find MY. My location to always on with MileIQ, but I NEVER had this issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max with overnight drain and MileIQ location set to always on, I wonder if its iOS16 and some of these apps? Also when I woke up this morning, I went onto twitter (screen brightness was the lowest possible as I was in a dark bedroom) to scroll around "location is off on twitter" and my battery wet from 68-67-66-65 in a matter of 2 minutes!! I force restarted my phone up down and hold power until apple logo went from 65 to 63% when it came back on. There is DEFINITELY something up with the battery calculation / iOS16.

My 13 Pro Max hasn’t been great since the update. I’m grateful for the MagSafe Battery Pack & if out for the day, I’m also carrying a small power bank as precautionary back up.

if you have to do that, thats a net negative, especially if you're on a pro max. i wouldn't count that as 'grateful' tbh.

It’s not good, however, without the MagSafe Battery Pack, I suspect I’d be carrying the backup power bank rather more frequently.

Incidentally, battery health is showing my battery at 98% (launch day 13 Pro Max).

Brand new iPhone 14 Pro and can’t even get 5 hours of SOT today. Other days, it will last for 9 hours of SOT. I can’t figure out what’s going on.

I am also trying to figure out what is going on with iPhone 11Pro. One day battery is quite good another it’s battery 5-6h SOT with very similar battery use.

Looking on battery graph it’s very similar to 15.6.1, but I am surprised that are 0, Zero, things logged during charging. Is it intentional?

My guess is some apps are somehow not stored in battery usage log.

I can barely get my 12 mini to charge ever since updating to 16. It takes a couple of hours to go from a 10 percent charge to a 35 percent charge. And I also have been getting messages about the charge being put "on hold due to the iPhone temperature."

iPhone Mini 12 here - I seem to have lost a couple of hours of charge with 16. If, for example, I pick it up - fully charged - at 7am, I'm seeing the 'low battery' warning around 8pm. Would not have expected to see until after 10 with my normal use / same apps previously.

Installed 16 on release day, so plenty of time for indexing.
